Need Help with .us TLD

Hi friends,

I want to buy an EMD but nothing is available .com, .org, .net, i think i can go for .us as most of the traffic will be coming from .us 3600 Exacts from us.

but the problem is i am outside USA so my question is can i buy an .us tld on my name for business or profit purpose and use that for my site ?? or i cant buy .us domain if i am outside usa?? kindly cofirm,

or someone who can help me in this regard ?

I have had several .us domain names using a fake whois info (as I'm also not from US) and never had any problems. I had them registered at Namecheap. I guess its perfectly ok to have fake whois info for .us domains as long as someone doesn't report you.

Separate would be better and try to use a US proxy if possible.

Yes you can create a .us domain even if you are outside the us, nobody is going to hunt you down, the most that can happen (if you are using fake whois info) is that they contact you to enter your real info or verify the info you have entered I guess.

I never had any problems with mine though.

You can surely buy a .us domain from some good registrar.
