FREE* Remove Wordpress Theme footer links and Blogroll

OH CHIT, I was just having a problem with a pesky footer link from a free theme, and ran into this post. Awesome WickedGuy, usual genius convienant plugins to make things smooth. You people should purchase Blogbox from him, it's foundation of wealth builder. Purchased it last year.

Um better be careful on what themes you use it on (*legal troubles...*). I've never ran into any of these problems myself, but you never know.

Great plugin, but couldn't a person just remove the footer text from a theme manually? It seems unnecessary to add an extra load to wordpress.

But great plugin, it may be useful to those who can't read code.

Has nothing to do with coding, some themes have footers encrypted in them, meaning if you remove them, it renders the theme useless, until you restore the links back.

This Geniuis plugin removes the encrypted footers!

I used to just replace the footer file with one from another theme if it was encrypted! Will try this next time - thanks for sharing

Of course you can edit the footer in any way you like!

Dude you the BEST ! I have a wordpress Natureblog from themepix which has an encoded link - nop I forget, it was a bunch of links -at the footer, so just use your plugin, and Boom!! I attempt several times to remove them manually it "collapsed" after each attempt

I once had a theme which would break when i removed the footer so i used CSS coding to create a new class for the text i wanted to hide to the following (the new class i created was "footertext"...

footertext{
	padding:90px 0 0 0;
	color:#477387;
	text-align:center;
	font-size:1.1em;
	display:none;
}

.footertext p{
	padding:0 0 7px 0;
	display:none;
}

.footertext a{
	color:#f26522;
	display:none;
}

the trick was the "display:none;" property and it did the trick...This however just hides the text from human eyes but search engines still see the links So if by any chance the shared script doesnt work, you can use this as an alternate method.

Big Thanks for the plugin! I have a problem though. I use the FThemes Caprica theme and when I use your plugin it eliminates the problem links (great, great, great!!) but when I log out of the Wordpress Admin, the admin dashboard disappears, I cannot logout and I get the message below which I assume is from my server. Any ideas?
