Offline Incentive for Online offer

Alright so I've come up with an idea for gaining leads to an offer I've been trying to monetize. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's had this idea (as a matter of fact, I know that I'm not).

The offer I'm monetizing converts at just over $14 per lead. Now, if I were to offer people in the real world a $5 incentive to complete the offer, how easily will the scheme get sniffed out?

My plan is to approach my targets and just briefly ask them if they would like to make $5 in cash, on the spot, if they complete the necessary forms. If they are interested, I would point them towards my blog that has a post on it with banner ads to the landing page. I have them click one of the banners to the page, and now it looks as if my blog has turned the lead instead of me direct-linking them to the offer. Once it converts, slide them the $5 in cash, I make almost a 100% profit, and everyone is happy.

I would make sure that all the information being provided is accurate (no (555)555-555 phone numbers, etc.). Now can another BHW member pick this idea apart so I know if it will work, and if not WHY not.

I think the cpa network will catch on pretty qwick and you wont get paid and lose the money you invested

seems like you may be able to get away with it since you would keep the incentive offers completely offline. may want to consider piloting it with a cpa network that you won't miss if you get banned. once you have the system down and are pretty sure the risk is low you could then pull in your preferred cpa networks

if i took this approach i'd have an internet ready laptop or tablet with me so they can immediately fill it out. then you could either hand them cash or maybe even make it fun by buying a few different kinds of gift cards (starbucks, movie tickets, etc)

Don't the networks look at the ips of the offers, too? And also all of your leads would b coming from the same area. Which might be suspicious. Although maybe they don't care, as long as they get leads.

good point. might be worth buying proxies in bulk to cover the tracks

of course, using proxies could backfire if they took the time to associate the location of the new sign ups with the ip address from where it was submitted. even though they know some proxies will be used it may be suspicious if every single submission is mismatched

Simple solution: Use their own IP.
Couldn't you program something where they log in to your site to then accept the CPA offer?
As soon as it gets cleared you give the cash and everybody is happy again.
This even invites their friends to join in too as people like to brag about money earned.

Just a though though, I could be totally wrong here of course.

I know of a game that lets people fill out surveys for ingame cash so I won't claim I thought of this idea first.

using bh methods to lead clueless sheep to your money maker is one thing. convincing hundreds of locals out in public to get involved with something they can probably sense is unsavory is a completely different beast

Yeah, that's not going to be very easy. But I'm sure it's possible. And quite honestly, depending on what kind of people are contacted it can also be easy. If they're not too experienced with the internet and you pitch it the right way you could good conversions with them, they are kind of 'fresher' than the typical online user. At least that's my experience - sometimes marketing onlinestuff to offliners works like a charm. You have to find the right way to approach people and simply see if you can find a method that's still cost effective. That part is harder to do offline.

What are these people required to do for you to receive $14? Most offers with payouts like this either require the person to commit to something, pay money for a trial, etc, or be required to give out information most will not be comfortable giving out. I doubt it's that easy for $14 per lead. But, I could be wrong.

Local GeoIP shouldn't usually raise suspicion, Offline Marketing is not new and the fact that you give them good leads from a certain area would usually not raise any red flags from my exp, if you want to be sure, let the Network know and have them inform the publisher, but i think that's excessive anyway.
