I have an adult blog that gets about 200-250 visitors a day with page views varying from 600-1000. I have made about 100 posts over about a year.

I used to use hotfile as my affiliate program and made about $0.10 a day. But since the megaupload ordeal, the blog doing nothing. I have another blog with similar traffic and I use LinkBucks for the images and I only get $0.01 a day.

Is there a better way of monetizing this? If I use Linkbucks, would that make google images not index them? I know there are some images that are on the second page of google images for a common keyword, so that's why I ask.

Thanks.

Should I go for text or those banner ads?

You should split test and go with whoever pays you more money in the end, but on 200 hits a day I don't think it's really going to make a huge difference either way. I say give JuicyAds a shot and see what happens. They're good peoples over there.

Thanks for your help. I've set up JuicyAds as you recommended. I guess it's time to link build to get more traffic.

Putting popunders on your site is a good way to make sure you stay at 200-250 visitors a day forever. making adult blogs grow is all about providing a good user experience and bringing back the return visitors. Even more so than mainstream sites. If you have a really good adult blog that gives the users what you want, your daily return traffic will decimate your search engine traffic with time.

i have wondered about that also, if you upload a image to lets say imagetwist and then embed it onto your site does that image get into google images? and even if it does, doesnt it just have some random image name so it wouldnt really benefit in search engines anyway from loosing the keywords name?

i also would like some tips on what is the best ways to monetize adult sites.

Yeah, I don't really like pop-ups/unders myself. After testing I found that the Linkbucks gets me $0.12 for in 6 days and JuicyAds gets $0.05 per 6 days. So, for the time being I think I will disable that banner ad.

I mostly get traffic from google and other search engines. I have over 100 blog posts so a lot of stuff gets indexed. To be honest, I haven't done much linkbuilding at all. At one time I was able to get my blog to a page rank of 2 because I did a link trade with about 5-6 other porn websites but they eventually removed my links for some reason so it is back to a pagerank of 0. Other than that I have only done some manual link building by commenting on other do-follow blogs.

Happens all the time on adult sites. I used to do it intentionally all the time for free backlinks. I'd setup a automated link exchanging script. Let a bunch of morons signup for link trades, and just purge everyone every so often. Yay, free one way backlinks...

Should I go with an adult site to a different hosting? Will hosting a adult site on my main hoster, where I have all my other not adult niches, have bad effects to my other sites?

No, I have 3 adult sites on the same host as my movie and TV sites.

I have the same traffic as you and I use bee4 biz. I make around 4 dollars a day. traffic quickly drops down though so i spam every now and then to get traffic back up.
