Just a quick note here and a question for BobbyLove
Note: I've been messing with IM and domains for 16 years.
Bobby Q:
Maybe it was somewhere in this thread, but did you stipulate that the "aged" in aged domain meant that the domain was "aged" in the G index... meaning included and showing in a SERP page?
Aged 1 = Date began in Google index and still in the index
Aged 2 - Whois date for creation substracted from Todays date.
I might add a bit of experience I've had for last 3 years. Just get ahead of the curve and buy some new domains, slap up a page, get it indexed... then hold them for 3 to 6 months and follow Bobby's method here.
The "aged indexed domain" 301 redirect simply gets you past the initial "trial period" that the G index puts all new sites/domains through while the slow process of the algorithms go about looking for spammer flags. Whenever that point is( 3 months seems about average) your brand new domain/moneysite with good content and some decent backlinks is now at stage 1 (We trust you) and you start getting traction in the rankings. thern... its More age, More good content, more authority/trust = more rankings.
Been my experience is has nothing to do with the domains Whois dates... the only date Google relies on for this "trust factor scoring" is the date the domain first showed up in the G index. They have that date already, its relevant to their scoring factors, and there's no need to go looking up Whois data. Dates are just numbers and easy to crunch
Bobby is showing how to get a jumpstart on that first "trust factor" score and see the early ranking power from your 301 coming from your "aged indexed domain".
It does not matter what your "aged indexed domain" content was about. it does not matter if your "aged indexed domain" was ranking for any keywords. Just so long as its been active in the index for awhile.
Buying the aged domains from GoDaddy is a total hassle. Just buy some relevant domains at a good regsitrar with great DNS service, do the minimum with one or two pages, get them indexed and have an inventory of aged domains to use as 301 redirects for your future money sites. No need to buy them aged if you have a little patience
P.S. the aged domain is only a part of the "trust factor scoring" but a big part. The idea is making is easy for G, they just put everyone off to the side and let you prove yourself by following exactly what they've been saying for years... "...play fair Mr. Webmaster, add unique, original relevant content only, not a lot, but good stuff... make it relevant to the Domain Theme Family only. Get some real websites to vote for you... better if they are in the same relevant Theme too... and we reward you for making nice and we will move you up in rankings." or something like that... the results are the same however they look at it
