What language for SEO automation?

For someone new to programming Python is a very very complicated language or so i have found.
I started with VB a little over 2 years ago and still havent mastered it.
Although i did move onto PHP due to a project i was working on.

If your new. Personally, the recommendations i give to others is learn VB first, then move onto a variation of "C".
VB kind of prepares you for the world of programming i feel.

I started with VB over 14 years ago, and still haven't mastered it.


To the OP,

Any .Net language will suit your needs, C# is the popular fan boy language anymore, however VB.Net is equally as powerful due to the fact that it all gets converted to CLI, so its really just a syntax preferences.

It's not "easy" to make these types of programs, and you can easily burn 20 hours into a single feature.

I suggest you go to sites like eLance.com and pay someone to do what you want done, as chances are, you'll get frustrated and give up like 90% of the people who try to learn programming for a specific niche.

Tip for futher advancing: Without understanding of DOM structure, HTML parsing, extracting strings from text and even some simpler regex processing, you really can't build useful bots or properly use webBrowser or HttpWebRequest.

Can you recommend some C# libraries? I want to create Bots for Web 2.0 sites.

- As far as i know there Python has win32api support for this tasks, so i'm pretty sure that C# must have some kind of equivalent library or you can load appropriate win dll.

download some programs from there and look at the source code... some of them are commented greatly.

The fastest way to learning is through examples. Jump in and get your feet wet.

To be short I would say : choose C#/.NET for ease ; choose Delphi for quality and stability.

Delphi is not hard, it's an old language regulary updated with a huge community around the web.
Tons of great softwares has been made in Delphi, for example ScrapeBox coded by SweetFunny and Guenter, or XRumer from BotmasterLabs.

Yes Beny, Scrapebox is one of my favorite black hat tools and I know it's written in delphi but Remember that SEnuke X and Sick Submitter written in C# .

I would recommend C#. Not that big of a learning curve if you've been coding before.

C++, C# on the other hand are low level programming languages, which means you have full access to lower level of the system and can therefor optimize the CPU usage to your needs. Downside is, it's a good bit more complicated and can be very overwhelming to start of with since you can do anything with it.

I don't like C#/.NET because of stability fails.
Softwares like SenukeX or TweetAttacks crashes frequently when they has been used avec many threads.
