How to promote non-unlimited hosting?

Hi guys,

sorry if I am posting this in a wrong thread but after my initial search this seems to be most apropriate.

I am owner of non-oversold non-unlimited hosting, in a simple words I am not selling 100G+ for $2\month

So, after reading a lot of threads here at BHW I was wondering maybe you can help me with some general advices.

I never buy unlimited hosting (except for a few VPS...never shared).
I always look at the memory/HDD space/bandwidth.

If it's like 1GB HDD and 200+GB monthly bandwidth, I stay away because you knooow spammers are all over that.

5GB HDD and 20GBmonthly bandwidth is also bs just trying to make a buck hoping you go over bandwidth charges.

If you can offer like 5-10GB HDD and 100GB bandwidth, you'll attract good customers who are looking for a solid service, and they'll see you as being much more reputable than if you offered "unlimited"

Now, onto server memory: allocated 512MB AT LEAST. 1GB+ mem almost necessary nowadays to run sites with a bunch of scripts and plugins like wordpress. The faster a site loads, the lower the bounce rate. Your clients will love you if you offer over a GB of memory.

Tell the version of PHP you offer, Any install scripts, if you offer cpanel, give a test IP to test speeds. Make sure that you respond to support tickets and presale questions very fast, so perhaps set up a live chat.

Offer 1 "less than desirable" service, such as allowing bulk email or give various IPs or allowing IRC chat or videos or something along that nature. Convince people that your host is more than just a server, have some character

To promote, create coupons and deals! If you offer a good discount, your sales will skyrocket. Put that on retailmenot or somewhere else (I've never put any coupons up on retailmenot myself).
