Although I can't stand the site, I'd suggest iWriter for the rate you're offering. Their pay structure is right in line with what you'd like to make, so start there. Off the top of my head, I can't really think of any others that allow you to just pick up and start writing without much of a waiting game.

You are right to some extent but iwriter has very high rejection percentage. Guys on the website expect top quality articles at $2.6. It's really irritating. I have seen people on the website with 80% rejection percentage, which means that they are never satisfied. Still, I don't think he has any other better option apart from this. What do you say?

Start a gig on fiver. You'll get a lot of orders if you offer two 500 word articles in a single gig.

I have been freelance writing there for over a year. I have worked consistently with one employer since sign on, but I have done other smaller jobs and contracts as well. I am not getting rich, but there are some great opportunities on there.
