I've yet to begin my strategy for domain 1 haha! I've only made the website and posted the articles. I will be running my strategy over the next week, then I will update the results as they come.

How you set up your wordpress blog site has a lot to do with rankings. Make sure you have a contact form on your site. Also I like to use "headspace2" as a plugin.
I have found that when I add a huge ping list to my "writing settings" I see better rankings & traffic on my own sites. If you want a large list of pinger sites that I use PM because i can't leave the links here for some reason.
Also I have found that if I run adwords to that website my site will rank higher in the search engines as well. After a bit if it is non-profitable i take the ad down ...if it is profitable i keep it running.

For the Adwords suggestion, isn't that arbitrage because you're driving up the other advertisers' costs to compete with yours (or at least against ToS) and directing traffic to your own Adsense?

Nice work. I was in the same boat as you 1 year ago. I would reccomend you use scrapebox not only to blast but also for research. ITs very valuable research tool. And read blackhatworld and other forums for 2 hours per day and you'll be making cash in no time.
Yeah check out the WP-POLICIES it saves you manual work.
Nothing wrong with trying to rank your site naturally & also running adwords on that site. While you are climbing the rankings, at least you are sitting on page one through paid advertising. The traffic being drove to it seems to always help boost you as well.
So I've let my links sit for a bit and I decided to check my rankings today. Both sites are not ranking top 100 for any keyword on any search engine. I don't know what I did or didn't do, maybe this IM business isn't for me. I should at least gotten small results from spending 6 hours making Web 2.0s.

Make sure your articles are keyword saturated, and use bold and h2 tags on your keyword as well as link throughout your site! unique view really wont increase until you hit top 5 spots on Google.

You spent 6 hours doing web 2.0's? How many first tier/second tier. You may have answered already, but i'm not scrolling back up too look lol...
How many links are showing up in majesticseo.com?
Did you blast your 2.0's with Xrumer/AMR/SB ? They need leverage/juice since web 2.0's are pretty much garbage until you make them into something good

Wait, did you submit the same articles to Ezine? If so, Google may see that as duplicate content later on and it might hurt your rankings.
I submitted manually spun articles to all the Web 2.0s using spin chimp. I had to do it by hand so that everything still made sense.
I've got 9 brand new Web 2.0s each with 3 spun articles and contextual backlinks

All sites are still out of top 100 in every search engine as of 5 minutes ago. I'm going to give it time because I don't know what else to do! This is where being a noob sucks...you don't know where and when to put in work!

lol give it time dude... honeymood/dance is a bitch for the first 40-60 days... My new site 3 weeks old isn't in top 400.. Honeymooned at 2oth...... Thing is, you can't stop building backlinks... gotta keep doing 5,10,20 a day..... to keep that velocity up.... All of a sudden, you'll see one day it pops back up...
Just how it is.... Everyone goes through it... but, this is the time where you should be not even looking at rankings.. but building new sites.. and slowly dripping links to that one...
