So I am def not taking up for this guy what so ever but just pointing out that if you called the police do keep in mind that when you are buying numbers for cl and posting mass ads on cl it is also breaking the law. Not really sure if it is actually illegal but if you read their terms they can fine you $1000 for each post. That is kind of like calling the cops and telling them your drug dealer ripped you off lol

1. just because someone buys forwarded numbers doesn't necessarily mean it's for CL.

2. it is NOT illegal to mass-post. please re-read this.

Try knowing what you're talking about before making posts like this.

ps - ryan, you truly are the scum of the earth.

It is either illegal or it is not. There is a difference between what is illegal and what is against some website's ToS. If a website's Terms of Service determined what is and is not illegal, and if a website's owner had the ability to levy fines against people that violated their Terms of Service, then I would set-up a website that required people to pay a $10.00 "Viewing Fee" for viewing my site, and an additional $10.00 "Clicking Fee" for anytime the clicked away. Buried in the fine print of my ToS would be a stipulation that the End User agreed to the entirety of my Terms and Conditions when they first visited my site and stayed there for longer than 5 seconds. (I would have a count-down timer programmed in flash, and would record the End User's IP in order to prove in court that they were there for longer than 5 seconds.) There would also be a section in my ToS that said that if they did not comply with the conditions they agreed to initially, and paid their bill within 24 hours, I would assess them a $1000 fine, which they also agreed to when they first clicked to my site.

If people are going to cross the line to "the dark side" with the expectation of making a profit, they had better put some effort into achieving a clarity of understanding with regard to the finer points of logic and legal reasoning. Meandering blindly into legal grey areas with fuzzy thinking and a vague idea of what is legal and what is not, and confusing that with some notions of morality (what is "wrong" and what is not), and confusing that with what violates some website operator's notions of what complies with their Terms of Service and what does not, indicates directly the inability to differentiate between what is profitable and what is not.

This is the dangerous dark side, where superior efforts are greatly rewarded and failures are greatly punished. It is foolish to attempt to operate within this realm with a layman's flawed understanding of the legal landscape. Profit will not happen, and catastrophe could result.

Hey,
From experience about being ripped off online. The FBI online thing is merely a farce in some ways. When I was scammed of some serious money. Partially why I went belly up. I found out the person did this several other places. I was instructed to go into the office. Fill an actual report. The online aspect is so littered, I was told by an agent. I had a better time being heard by going in.

Needless to say, victory was mine in the end because I took the extra steps to walk into an office, talk to an agent, fill out everything that I needed. It opened the scam even bigger because I had gone in.

I know it seems so much more convenient to just report online and think you did your part. Nah, go in. Grab the sucker by the vag/balls to get the scamming to stop.

There's more information about this guy.
