Hello all,
Intro:
I see that lots of members share their journeys to the front page of google, so I am going to share mine as well. I am trying to get on the first page for a key term with 22,000 exact matches (two word term). I have done some small web 2.0 pyramids for this term and am ranking in the high 30s low 40s for it. I would like to rank top 5 for this key term so my strategy is to rank a couple easier longer (more targeted) tail words to boost my rank for this main keyword. In total I will be trying to rank for 3 words.

Tail KW1:
Daily Searches: 145

SEOUC: 8,670
Current Ranking: 39
Tail KW2:
Daily Searches: 29
SEOC: 631,000
SEOTC: 7,330
SEOUC: 3,960
Current Ranking: NA
I am veyr new to this so I do not fully understand if the words that I am targeting are out of my league based on my strategy, so I would appreciate some advice on these stats.
WEBSITE:
My site is an ecommerce site, I am running it on WP using Flexishop theme with WPEC plugin. I believe that the onsite SEO is in pretty good shape, there is a lot of content on the site (pictures, article, videos, text) and main pages are KW optimized. I need to find somebody to work on lowering my load times. My SEO plugins are Yoast, Redirection, SEO friendly Images, SEO slugs, and State press. I am currently getting around 10 real UV (Not me or friends, etc.), some coming from random KWs, my targeted KWs, and social media. I am located in the US and this site is targeting US only no international shipping.
MY STRATEGY:
So like I said I have made about 15 web 2.0 pyramids following this method Cash SEO Blueprint all pointed to my domain for my main KW. Then I made an inner page to target Tail KW2 better and made about 60 Web 2.0s pointing to the this page using Tail KW2 (the last step of this pyramid still hasn't been completed). This inner page points to my home page with Tail KW2 as an anchor
I have just ordered this service: Z SEO High PR Blog Network on my two Tail KW's pointing links to my domain.
Plus i ordered a Fiver Gig for 50 .edu and .gov profile backlinks for the two Tail KW's. I am also planning on ordering a social bookmarking gig to my domain soon and possibly some other services.
For now i will continue building Web 2.0 pyramids to my main domain and the targeted inner page and might make a second inner page to target Tail KW2 if I see that this is working better.
I hope to see some front page rankings soon on the Tail KWs so that I can make some sales and afford services for the main KW
I will update my results daily/weekly and answer any questions that I am capable of answering. I do appreciate any advice or input as I am very new to this and thank you for reading!
