Case study: ranking a 60k keyword

Deadly Seo has stabilised my rank at #9 now-- Im really extremely happy with the effect it has had!!

Now I have ordered pr blitz:) will update when I see results.

Any SERP changes since you ordered the PR blitz?

Keyword is sitting at #6 :) not much traffic change yet so may be bouncing around, will confirm when I see Monday's stats.

Keyword now sitting at #5.
traffics going crazy today:)

Damn, this has gotten me very excited.

Looking forward to no 1 !

Thanks for sharing this.
Already planning to use some of your suppliers.

Glad to see my threads don't go unread:) thanks for the support.

I'm about to run all my tier 1 links through dripable, so I will update accordingly.

That sucks! I am getting 50 UV per day at #8 !

Can't you get something nice on your google site description? Could try something off the wall that will grab peoples attention?

Yeah I wrote something like: Don't calculate your roadtax before you read this, breaking news bla bla bla

But people don't seem to be sensitive for that. Yeah they are sensitive for it cause it increased my visitors to the number that I already stated, before it was even worse.

Again maybe not so suprising when the government sits at #1 and answers all the questions in a much better way anyway. And #2 till #9 are all exact match domains, with .org .net .com .nl, with and without hypernates etc. so page 1 looks pretty stupid.

all from one service you hit #5???

No. Original rank was #43 - before any work caried out.

I have used Deadly SEO, Linkpwn 2 and PR Blitz to get to where I am (#5).

:)

Very impressive. How many uniques and what is your rough conversions?

Without prying too hard, is it a CPA offer or convert-on-sell offer?

Love this post, people are posting great information thankyou!! i will follow.

No offense, but 50 visitors a day from from a 60k exact search keyword seems rather low.

I think you should play around with your page title and page description.

I have 8k keywords ranking top 5 bringing in same / more a day from keyword.

Look at the other top10 and make sure your title and description is more attractive.

(In search G results ofcuz ;-)

Wow... GREAT read! I like that you've made it into the top 5 and also listed what services helped to get you there. (I copied that info off cause I'm working on less competitve keywords and these should help me hit multiple #1s).

BTW - one thing I find missing in Blue Turtles 'seller vs non-seller' calculations is any mention of things like 'Panda' ruining several sites profits for months, sometimes never to recover. I'm sure all of you saw the site that sold at Flippa for $11k that was making about $600 a month and then got de-indexed less then 2 months later. In that case, the seller would have made MUCH more cash than if he had not sold, ya know?

Thanks David and Blue Turtle... great info!

I am getting 80-100 uv per day now, conversion is 5% at the moment.
No CPA at this time.

You didn't read my posts, 50uv at 8th, 80-100 at #5.
also, competition is fierce (read MS report on page 1), there are few MND and lots of authority sites.
Your right though I will optimise desc.

Good to see you're at #5 bro. Awesome work

Keep at it; once you crack that top 3, you'll see a nice increase in traffic. I never realized how much difference in traffic a couple of spots could make.

On of my sites was sitting at #5, moved up to #3 couple weeks ago, and traffic/earnings doubled.

Yup, traffic jumps up massively each spot you climb. I have a site that saw a 4x surge in traffic when I hit #1 and #2. Unfortunately, I'm having issues with converting the traffic, so not actually making much. :(

How are you monetizing it (Clickbank, Adsense, etc..)?

What niche is it in? Not the specific niche, but I mean like..Health, Education, Weight Loss, etc.

Adsense primarily. I have CPA banners and Clickbank ebooks also on the site, but haven't made any sales off those. Health niche.

Yup, figured it was the health niche. I've had pretty bad luck with the health niche. Had a said getting a a CTR of like 0.5%.

Check the advertiser competition using the Adsense Keyword Tool as well. Might have low ad comp, which is another reason you may be getting a low CTR.
