I think you have covered all the strategy of back-link. i like web 2.0 solution and web2.0backlinks (dot) c om is giving quality backlink in this area.
apart from this forum posting is also good strategy for backlinking. always choose relevant niche and content.

I dont know if they are a scam or not because I never used them.

but they are not high quality links like the previous poster said. They are spam links for the purpose of indexing your other backlinks

So usually what you do is make a fake program.Create a PAD computer details file with all details and KW's.
Now publish the sites to program internet internet directories.The best thing is if you publish the PAD to 2-3 good sites , other sites will immediately publish your PAD on there sites.
