Blog in huge niche?

Hello folks. So I was thinking about blogging a bit. I have a pretty popular Swedish blog already but it's in a niche where I can't market sadly. So it's not even in a niche I guess..

Anyway, I was thinking about making a gaming blog. I could record while I'm playing something, rewrite gaming news articles and so on.

I have a few questions though that I was wondering if anyone would like to help me with.

1) Is there any point even? I have no budget so is there even a slight chance of me getting traffic to a gaming blog when there's hundreds of well established gaming sites that get hundreds of thousands of visitors a month? Should I try to do it in Swedish instead?

Also, what would a good company for gaming be? I am 17 so I can't become an affiliate at GameStop as I wanted too. Commission Junction has an age restriction as well..

I tend to stay very far away from the gaming industry. Why? Because I believe the big corporations have cornered the market.

I believe its hard to get started blogging in the gaming niche because there's already TONS of content out there that is reliable and mainstreamed.

In the gaming world, you're competition is fierce as some of the major sites have inside connections with major developers, that is information that you will not have, so they will always have better content. Unless, you find some way to get the information about upcoming games and such before they do.

Yeah that's my problem. My interests aren't in any niches really. Psychology mostly and some politics. Can't really market that as there are no targeted customers. Gaming is basically the only thing I know that's selling.

Back to the workbench to try find a niche for a swedish blog I guess. Thanks for the help!

Nope - go for it. Don't forget competitive niches are where money is! You'll of course get visitors if you do it consistently without stopping. Just post 2 articles a day, learn to make backlinks on your own - stuff will expand before you know it.

hmm

one the one hand it might not be a bad idea, but on the other hand, try to make it specific, for example blog about one game in particular, you can never beat the big sites by writing two articles a day

but you can become an expert on a certain niche

when you get a lot of visitors, then you can find a way to monetize, first get trafic


writing in swedish has its advantages and disadvantages, decide what you want to do.... i am pretty sure that authority gaming websites in sweden bank over 100k a year
