Hi i just sold another site on flippa for like 3500 dollars and have the escrow.com account setup and the buyer wants to use paypal with escrow.com but our issue is i have no clue how to make this work with escrow.com because they only say that i need a premier service in order to accept paypal.

Now escrow.com doesnt say how to setup a premier service is this something that i should of done before the auction started?

Thanks in advance for your help

Ok the answer to my question according to Branden a rep at escrow.com is that they do not take paypal for websites because of the large amount of chargebacks

DO NOT use paypal. They will hold your money for 180 days. I sold 2 sites and they did this, I had to threaten them witht he AG and banking commissioners to get my $

So what option do they offer for payments instead of paypal?

Bankwire and check. Don't be afraid to walk away from the deal when paypal is involved. With paypal all the buyer has to is say that he didn't recieve it and paypal automatically refunds them because it is an intangible.

I once had someone 'buy it now' on flippa for $10,000. I had already withdrew the money to my bank account by the time I realized this with paypal. I refunded the transaction via paypal, and told the buyer to start escrow or cancel the deal. paypal is nothing to mess with for anything that you can't assume a loss on.

@uglies: That's correct. And even for other transactions (domain names, for instance), they only accept PayPal (and CC) if both the buyer and the seller are based in US and both accounts are fully verified.

@Dresden14, anonymous99: You've completely missed the point of this thread I'm afraid. The OP was talking about using ESCROW and the buyer paying ESCROW (not him) via PayPal. As with all Escrow transactions, it is them who assume the liability, not the seller - which is why they are extremely careful with this kind of payments.

DO NOT get a cheque from escrow !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DONT FALL FOR THAT !!! I dont if its because my cheque was big but i got a cheque of over 200K from escrow when I sold my site... They holded it for 60 day at the bank to verify.... wire is fastest and easiest....
