Hi,
Just woundering is it worth buying geo targeted opt in email list? :)

If you know what you are planing to do with them then its a good thought. And also look at the price. If its to expensive maybe it's not buying them because you can collect your own list of geo targeted emails.

I'd rather build my own, then i know they're all legit.

It's going to depend on whether or not the seller is a reputable source or not. Anyone can and will claim that their data is "opt-in", doesn't help you a bit. Building your own is the ideal way to go about it so you can attack whatever niche you're trying to target. However if you're going to purchase one I'd do as much research about the company or person you're buying from to make sure it's going to be quality.

Go on, try it then you'll know whether it's worth or not.

I have actually done these and they were garbage...didnt see a return from it at all complete failure. just my 2 cents spend that cash on something that you know will help generate sales/leads

Pointless question.

"How long is a piece of string?" is essentially what you asked.

There are at least dozens of important variables to consider and if you have to ask this question then you're not cut out for mailing. Mailing is a highly profitable, but very hard industry and you won't get any mailers coming on here and giving you a complete tutorial on how it's done.

Yes there are a lot of variables to be considered but its not a pointless question, maybe for you because you already know the answers for it.

And seriously he's just asking 1 question not an in depth tutorial

TO OP: get a test mails first from the seller then mail it out and based on the response you get from the test list then you decide if you'll buy the list or not.

Ask the seller for 3 references. Call them, then ask for 3 more. Get a feeling for how his other clients did. If he can't provide them, think twice.

Thank you all for your valuable opinions,
I'm trying to buy opt in list because building them myself from scratch is very time consuming. And FYI i'm doing email marketing for cpa and mostly on clickbank :)

id personally steer clear of buying any lists, could cause untold issues. Id instead opt for a JV with a list owner and then start building your own through solos, giveaway events, free offers etc

Hey guys,

I'm currently looking for a jv if any mailers are interested. Shoot me a PM and we can discuss further...thanks!
