I spend most of my day thinking shit up and writing things down and sitting in front of my computer, but when it comes to actual work I just outsource everything so there is nothing for me to do besides be thinking shit up in my head.

Im not a lazy person actually im the complete opposite when it comes to a normal job or manual labor. I just feel lazy and im wasting away just sitting here using my brain instead of my body, although I make money I don't feel like im doing shit. IM must take years to get used to doing on a daily basis..

Any tips on how to force yourself to get out of a rut.. Im stuck in the house all damn day because im afraid if i take anytime off other than sleep ill miss an opportunity, I have a web design business and people add me on skype and request quotes a few times a day,. I don't want to miss them but I got to get out of this somehow,. im really about to lose it.

any tips on keeping my sanity without losing money??

Hire a VA to deal with the quotes. Or at least get a laptop and go somewhere with WiFi, at least out of the house... a bar, a coffee shop. Or get skype on your phone.

You need to get out of the rut dude, whether its walking your dogs for an hour every morning, going for a jog, swimming ... anything.

If you do something physical in the morning you feel less lazy throughout the day, and a lot less fidgety when your sat at your desk and believe me, it helps a hell of a lot.

The hardest part is sticking to it.

OP i feel exactly the same and am in the same position as you lol the worst thing is i struggle to eat when im not using energy and thats the worst thing ever :(

Ummm :y: I'm not sure how this doesn't mean you're lazy.
In SEO there's about a thousand different imperative things you can't outsource. Since I assume you're not even doing them (script development, programming, creating scrapers, pulling data, building blog networks blahblah), guess what you should be doing?

hiring a VA to take my place scares me a bit because if they know how to run the business then what stops them from quitting and becoming my direct competition?

@Expertpeon lol maybe i am lazy, i am doing a little seo myself but in a few weeks that should increase once i finish designing my new projects because they will be needing seo and im going to be doing most of it.

Don't give the VA the master key, compartmentalize them so that not one person does all the work. The others were suggesting that you have a VA to just handle quotes. No way he can learn the whole business by just handling quotesm

sounds like you need to get some pussy

You hit the nail on the head there.

Most of the suggestions in this thread are way off the marker.

I know what its like waking up and spending 12h+ sat at your PC, week after week. Eating fast-food and feeling lethargic, constantly refreshing your inbox hoping to see an order appear or re-logging into your bank account every 10 mins to see if your latest raised invoices have been cleared.

And if your doing none of the above, your either checking your rankings or masturbating.

Its a complete fucking nightmare of a rut to get stuck in, because when your not at your computer, your concerned your missing something and its a worse feeling than quitting smoking :P

Get out more dude, seriously. At your PC you probably spend 50% of your time refreshing things that dont need to be refreshed or checking things that dont need to be checked. So you've got the time to get out more. Trust me, do something physical every morning that involves you leaving the house and I can guarantee it will change everything :)
