After 1 Year with BMR - My Results

Today I was looking through my link profile for one of my site and found lots of deindexed links which I made through BMR. So I went through each and every post I made on BMR to see how many articles are still indexed.

I started using BMR for this site from last January. So far, I have made 60 post on BMR. And here are my results as of today after 1 year using this service.

Total post created over year - 61
Total indexed pages as of today - 29
Percentage of indexed pages = 47.5%

So total 31 post are deindexed. I can't say whether google just deindexed only my post or it deindexed entire BMR site. [I think BMR site is completely deindexed]. Irony is that, the bookmar created by BMR are still indexed in google. So if i do query on google i can find bookmarking sites but can't find BMR sites.

Don't get me wrong. BMR is still best high pr network. This is the network that brought my site to first page. But after seeing the result, I can say that though BMR helped get my site on page 1, I need different backlinks [as a backup] to maintain my site there.

And as you know, BMR just use only unique articles, still it has got hit by google deindexing [with almost half of the sites are deleted from google].

Now you can just imagine what would happen to other high pr networks who allow garbage spun content.

My conclusion is , these High PR networks have a place in seo plan, to get that boost but to maintain your ranking, you need "Quality links which will stay indexed in google for sure".

I would say that is not enough to make a solidified impression about the network.

There are several factors that can come into play with this case study and at an average of 5 posts/month on a network with several hundred domains it's possible you could have just been unlucky.

That being said, by making a few posts and basing your opinion on that, you've already made a mistake. Continual link building is becoming increasingly important since the scrutiny of any network has substantially risen over time.

My point is even though BMR is solid network it still got hit by google deindexing. So if I don't build high quality links I will loose my ranking. BMR helped my to get top 5 position but over the year I lost half of the links. If I don't build quality links again I will loose ranking. [and thats the basis of SEO].

So if u r considering using High PR network, be ready to replace the lost links.

Yeah, some deindexing is pretty normal for most networks open to the public.

I noticed the same thing few days ago. I have 300+ posts on my account and almost half are deindexed already. The boost from a month ago is still sticking - i kept the rank earned with BMR although they got hit.

But yeah, we need an alternative as it seems.

BMR was a "100 snippets a day" tool when I used it (6000+ links in November and December 2010)

Decent network. I moved from UAW to BMR - but I change networks every 2-3 months maximum anyway as a matter of principle.

This is precisely what I thought when I read the OP.
I make 50 posts/day on BMR every single day (automated of course) all over 500 words

But yeah, we need an alternative as it seems.

You mean besides Linkvana, Link Authority, HighPRsociety, SEO linkvine, ALN, AR, UAW, Automated Articles, etc?

You should be working on building your own network btw.

So after reading the results i went and checked my BMR articles from 6 months ago. Out of 596 articles posted for various clients of mine 407 are still indexed in Google. That's 68% still indexed after 6 months. In my book anything over 50% is good, so i count that as a great result.

The shelf life for these highly spammed paid networks is very short. Your money could be better invested in creating your own private high pr network

That types of posts makes me scary. What should we do know? It gets harder and harder to do SEO job nowadays. Any reliable alternatives?

I can't see the difference for google in terms of catching and destroying your private network or big networks like BMR, ALN, etc., so with other words soon or later the time of the blog networks will pass... until that time however enjoy your website rankings

A private network won't have hundreds of pages of unrelated content and unnaturally high OBL.

If you think G is going to give up on targeting these networks then sure, continue building. If you don't want to wake up to catastrophic drop in rankings, start thinking about a smarter way to build links.
