I really don't think that a "dummy" url would be in your best interest. The reason for putting this type of protection in the script is to stop crackers and carders from using the software when they didn't legally buy it. That url is linked to your account so that they know you bought it and the script can give trace back calls to there servers saying that you are running it and have a legit licence.
The best bet for you that i would think is, get some free hosting, get a free .tk or .co.cc domain, setup wordpress there and use that as your primary url. This way there will be no problems in the future as to why you cant use the script or anything like that. Hope this helps.

Yes, or you can install your locker on a "tracking" domain. You could also use the function to fake referrer.

You can't give a dummy URL, no. As mentioned by ddvv84, the license URL is there for security reasons. You'll also need to make sure your hosting supports PHP 5.3 (we recommend Hostgator).

This is correct on the security side, but with hosting it's best to pay for hosting that supports PHP 5.3 rather than relying on free hosting that can be unreliable.

We sent update emails out about 3 months ago If you never got it or didn't upgrade at the time, then drop emailsupport[@]contentlockpro.com an email with your old license details and we'll get you upgraded.

I basically feel obligated to write a review, because of the results I've seen, haha.

Firstly, I was using deadbolter before, and I thought I was seeing good results. I was happy with my 1:10 ratio, but when deadbolter went down, I wasn't sure what to do. I used a content locking network (uhg), and had a $0.01 EPC. I bought CLP, expecting it to perform similarily to Deadbolter, but wow. I've been running with it for about a week, and my EPC on one network jumped $0.30 over deadbolter, and I'm getting a steady $0.60+ EPC on some offers. I'd recommend it to anyone that wants to earn with content locking, I've just about made my money back within a few days with garbage traffic.

EDIT: When installing this with HG, couldn't find the "php.ini" file. Just solved this, I talked to their support and found out that they have to create it for you to edit.
