private blog networks effect?

Hi, I've been purchasing several packages from different blog post/blogroll services here in BHW. I just notice now that one of our campaign were not found in the top 5 keyword searches in google. Is this the effect of deindexing some of the private networks? Is this the punishment of G to the sites that has a link of those sites? thanks

You need to mix up the links you get. The risk with networks is that those sites can get deindexed. Always good to add new bloglinks every month, to reduce your risk.

I've seen some ranks drop for several sites too, which had blogpost links since Feb 1st.. Google's major PR update.

I've found blog rolls / blogposts on private networks to be a pretty effective link building strategy in the short term but you need to be careful who you buy from as deindexing results in you just losing all the benefit. Ensure the seller is at least taking steps to protect his network and definitely don't rely on just one type of link building, you need a bit of diversification, mix it up.

Depends on how diverse the backlinks you have and if the network is high quality or not.

I'm also thinking that, since out of our 8 campaigns, this is the only 1 that got affected in serps, we have some less than year old campaigns but were not affected. This campaign ( i'm talking about the one that got affected in serps) is a less than a year too, my question is why is it that this campaign is just the one that got affected? and how can I put back in the first page of G our campaign. Thank you

But what if its just the beginning of everything? what i mean is that, the one that got affected in serps is just the first and the other sites will be in next (HOPEFULLY NOT!) what could be the factor?

Diversity in terms of different types of links. It's far better to bulild a mix of different backlinks as opposed to just one type, such as blog posts or blogrolls on private networks, especially given those type of links aren't reliable in the long term due to google cracking down on a lot of private networks.

Add some social bookmarks, web 2.0s, articles, low obl blog comments, etc etc., into the mix and you'll see more benefit.

That's just speculation. The facts are 1 site lost rankings could be down to any number of reasons is my opinion.

your rankings have drop because you stop creating backlinks...

you need to create backlinks constantly and when you stop, your rankings will drop also...

its easy to get top 5 positions... but its hard to maintain top5 postions...

your competitors are creating backlinks...

what i could suggest is that you buy blogs with page rank and you join a blog network like aln and fbl..

using these network, you can get backlinks constantly..

its a lot cheaper when you buy blogs with pr and join a network.. one of the advantages is that you get backlinks everyday or everyweek..

What is aln and fbl? actually, we're still keep in buying blog backlinks and some of our package are still in progress. I highly doubt that its because of the Panda update, since G deindex some of our service provider already

Yep, as others have said, deindexing of these blogs can be a major pain. It does happen quite frequently, too, because, for one, the costs of creating and maintaining a semi-decent private network is negligible and it sells like hot cakes!

A good number of people who sell private network blog posts don't (or can't, as a result of their pricing) maintain these blogs properly. Most of them post poorly spun articles that are very similar to other copies; in fact, many of them post the same articles to article directories and other networks!

Unless you know what you're doing, maintaining a private network in the long run and ensuring that your clients get good value for money is very difficult.

silly question tbh as they will always be useful as part of a diverse strategy, all links are relevent! its very simple and its been said over and over again here diverse links = win

so yea they have good effect of course they would most of them are high PR blogs and if your using a big network they usually are seperated by niche so that means your link on a related high pr blog in your niche what more do ya want? those are pretty solid links

i don't use the private networks run by 1 man bands though as they usually carry large foot prints and seem to be getting deindexed a lot lately, i prefer the public networks were ppl add their own blogs to the networks to gain points (ofc i go for the paid option) these i feel have less of a chance of showing any sort of footprint or trace to big G
