IRC Down?

I can't seem to connect today, it worked fine a week ago.

I can not connect neither ... it's an ongoing issue now ... have tried several ports and other variations too ... no chance!!

So we might have gotten banned from using it without even having been informed ??

WTF, I thought it was just me. Xchat won't connect either .

I PM'd a mod and he said it's working fine, and to check your settings.

i haven't changed anything and it worked with the same settings last week, not that i'm going too frequently to IRC

this issue has something to do with DNS settings/ISPs DNS servers which sometimes cause problems with accessing the website as well

It seems to be a DNS issue as existing connections are fine but new connections cannot resolve the host. The admin knows about the issue and is working on it.

It's definitely a DNS issue, something happened to the A record on Hostwinds side, shouldn't be much longer.

There was an issue with the DNS server yesterday, and during the resolution the IRC A record was unintentionally removed, The IRC A record has been re-added, so not many people should have been affected, everything is setup correctly now so the best thing to do is wait the time it takes depends entirely on your ISP and how often they refresh their DNS
