I recently tried re-directing mine to a groupon refferal link but that was a silly idea but worth a go. I just wish there was a better way to monetise this traffic cos im getting nearly 300 clicks a day with this now.

Wow thats some nice returns dude, i had a post get 4,000 reblogs as of now but alas ive still only made $0.10 haha :D oh well back to the drawing board lol
 
What the hell are you posting to get 4000+ reblogs?

Most i've had is 200 reblogs with a meme image. Really need some inspiration on what images to share to get the best reblogs.

Nah but seriously i'm just posting stuff related to my niche, but it seems to be like nectar to the tumblr hipsters. Having 1,000 followers helps though, the bigger reach i have initially the more chance there is of a snowball effect. I've just not yet been able to find the right kind of product to target. All i've sold so far is a printer cable and baby bottle sterilisers... lol :D
 
Ah, maybe that is where i am going wrong. I just need to obtain more followers. I've currently followed over 280 and have receive 80 followers back.

Wish we had a tool like tweet attacks (maybe tumblr attacks) to help with this followers building task!
 
Anyone concerned about verifying, I know that tumblr accepts disposable e-mail addresses (e.g mailinator) for verification.

You can use tweet attacks to get more followers and reblogs. Just use wait and reply and search for "tumblr" and "tmblr". ;)
 
I've just spent the last 3 hours testing and perfecting my tumblr auto-follow imacros script. And I'm happy to say i've finally got a stable version to share with you guys. The script will follow around 98% successfully give or take a few strange templates and frame issues.

Instructions:

1. Open Firefox Browser And Imacros

2. Copy and paste the above code and save it

3. Login to your tumblr account

4. Navigate to your niche tag for example cats would be http://www.tumblr.com/tagged/cats and cat food would be http://www.tumblr.com/tagged/cat+food.

5. Use the page slider on the right in firefox to scroll the page downwards, so more posts will load for that niche. As you scroll to the bottom you will see the 'loading more posts" message. Just keep doing this until you have a good number of posts present.

6. Set your max to 100 under repeat macro in the play tab on imacros.

7. Press Play(loop)

8. Sit back or go and make something to eat and drink, while the script automatically follows tumblrs in your niche.

Did your Tumblr account get banned? I just found this post and went to the tumblr link in the first thread for your example and it said the account didn't exist.

(Anyone who uses this: MUTE your computer! When tumblr profiles load, their song starts automatically, which is very scary if you had your volume way up like I did lol)

Thanks a lot for noticing this, it must of happened when i copied and pasted the code from imacros. I've changed the above code now.
 
Put up 13 posts, 6 original content. Ran Jack's tool. Got 3 followers and 1 reblog so far lol.

I'm thinking / wondering if I should have waited on the original content, before having more followers. Some should do really well, if the niche I'm targeting is active enough. I also imagine, later on I could just delete some of them and repost if they don't get action.
 
So I have been copying this method with "a little spin" for a legitimate client I work for, just taking items from their store, and blogging them with lots of related tags and I have it set to auto-tweet every post I make also. I have been receiving 3-4 clicks per day directly to their site, and the visitors seem to be spending lots of time browsing the site, but no sales yet. The clients site is a mini-niche so its hard to find actual buyers. I also noticed that certain keywords were getting "auto reblogs" from bot account set up, so when I want some free advertising, I just have to copy those tags.

Most important things are:
Trying lots of different tags
Trying lots of different ways to monetize

Due to it being a legitimate site tumblr, I am very restricted as to what I post, but even in this mini niche, I am finding some related topics to upload and reblog. One way to find the top blogs in your niche without using tumblr directly to search (its a little slow) is to do a "site:tumblr.com keyword" search.

Anyone else have any updates? Dont just stick to amazon guys. Amazon is PERFECT for some niches, but horrible for others.
 
still got no earns - but it's still really interesting method to me, i feel - there must be a great potential with proper use, and it discovered such a great thing as tumbler for me - just had no idea about it before. now my goal is to get many followers for my niche and then make a kind of provocation to make some of them fill a CPA form for me ;)
btw - have anyone figured most optimal speed of posting? also int's interesting if number of allowed posts depends on profile's age or followers number..
 
I used this method Thank you OP. I made $1.65 for a CPA offer out of 99 clicks. I only did this a few times but will try again. She was right you can earn your first $1 with this. :)
 
I made my first IM dollar with this method so I will say that it definitely works.

Nonetheless, I've spent a decent amount of time without much of a return and so I am hanging up the proverbial boots in this case. It is far more time consuming, but as a noob article writing is yielding some pretty nice (labor intensive) profits.

Maybe I'll jump back on the Tumblr train at a later date.
