I've noticed that usually when people get a new phone number, or have lost their phone they start up a facebook group/page/event asking their friends for their phone numbers. Most of these people don't bother setting up the privacy settings on them, so anyone can view them and see the numbers.

1. Search on facebook for "lost numbers", "need numbers", "new phone" etc.

2. On the search filters on the left hand side click on events/pages/groups

3. Go down the list 1 by 1 and look at the walls, the phone numbers are ripe for the taking.

What you do with these numbers is up to you, obviously they haven't opted in so you probably wont be able to get away with SMSing them from a shortcode.

This is naughty mate. I like it a lot. You should dig up that site you found that generates a random phone number and sends a SMS out for free :p

If anyone needs an SMS service provider, we can send out SMS from a 10 digit number ( higher open rates ) with a spin syntax of your choosing.

This guy named Tom Scott created an app for showing facebook mobile numbers. Its free but it changes. Google his name and it shows at the top of his website.

The method is awesome and really innovative also.
;)

Anyway I can send a text to all the numbers I collect for free?

Not that I can think of off the top of my head, if you don't go the route of a SMS gateway (shortcode or long), the only other way is to use the carrier's gateway (like att: [email protected]), but you have to know each carriers number.

Now, that I think of that, I can probably code something up that does all that work for you, but I have a few other projects I need to finish first.
