well I've recently started to promote hostgators web hosting and made about 400usd since beginning of January. today when I checked my stats I notice one of my affiliates cancelled their account and the other one said overdue. strange enough tho when I go to those 2 websites they're both still active?
Is this normal?
Has this happend to anyone before?

Typically HG is right on the ball when it comes to suspending overdue accounts, but I also noticed this month that they were behind and I had one account that wasn't suspended for weeks after overdue payment, when it is usually suspended after just a few hours of being overdue.

Sorry if you dont mind me asking I take it you're also an affiliate with them?
how long does it take before you can withdraw you're affiliate commission?

Slightly obvious question: Did you check they are still actually hosted with HG? Their site being up means nothing if they've switched hosts.

This happened to me too. I generated a lots of sales each months but only received about 20%-30% of the commissions due to these status: overdue, activity, unactive,....
Note that, HG doesn't pay their affs commission if the customer still use their service but doesn't pay the fee in time(for example, he pays the fee late one day, his status will show overdue and you don't get commission for that sale:() or had purchased the HG hosting previously.

A lot of guys disagree and I understand the argument, but I always just use my affiliate link through Commission Junction as all my referrals are whitehat.

I did a very decent amount of sales with HG all WH through CJ. Usually the sales from the previous month close on the 10th and I got paid anytime from the 16th-25th of the month.

Ok I signed up with commission junction like you mentioned I noticed you have to be approved by hostgator first before you can promote their services. What I like about hostgators affiliate program is You can make you're own coupons and instead of promoting through banners and the whole affiliate link you can just promote you're custom coupon code.

Anyways Thanks for the reply's

I just had this problem this morning, $300 of commission dissapeared. I also KNOW these sites are still active as I am mentoring these newbies. I am going to switch over to bluehost or someone else who can actually guarantee paying honestly
