Some constructive critisism that i'd like to spit out here, as an active affiliate which pumps out a decent volume, i'm always looking around for networks, contacts etc.

Don't feel the need to listen to this, just going to describe my (and i know for sure, MANY other's) opinion.

First thing i do is go to the company website and open the "contact us" page. No phonenumber? Bam end of story, there is no sane bigtime affiliate ever going to send bulk traffic to a network who cannot be contacted by phone, that is a fact.
I never got further than the contact page unfortunately.

This is just a general hint, not an insult, to me and many others it is insanely important that the network can be reached by phone instantly.

I'm not offended. Every time I've called an affiliate network though, I never got ahold of anyone. The first network I called, I literally called every single person in their company. (6) The second one I called, I called 5 different people and still didn't get ahold of anyone. Now, one of those networks isn't *that* exclusive. The other however, won't even talk to you if you don't make 100+ a day in CPA. So, I don't really put stock into phone numbers on the internet. Whether you're a big fish or not, people shouldn't be treated any less than anyone else. I personally spend more time with people who haven't earned a dime yet in CPA than I do with my $100+ a day guys.

I have been out of the IM world for a while but now that I do not have a job and am attending college, I want to focus.

Would you be willing to accept someone who has been out of the look for a while? (Maybe a year or two). I was with a network and have some experience but need to catch up. I see you offer educational advice which I am very happy about.

May I apply still?

You have a point here.

However, you may appreciate that a CPA company

  • that has no number to call
  • whose AM has a yahoo mail address rather than a Corporate address
is likely to raise suspects and criticism.

Not to be a hater, just saying that such reactions from affiliates are understandable.

Not to insult anyone, but anyone who knows anything about email and internet marketing would realize that it actually takes more work and effort to setup a Yahoo email address then it does to set up a "Corporate" email address, and that most phone numbers that are provided are simply outsourced companies who provide basic information and have no actually control over anything to do with the company, and those that do provide an actual direct phone number to the "company" are usually quite annoyed when you do call them.

If people are just looking for a false sense of security, then certainly it is understandable that people would be critical of the way their contact information is set up, but when thought about realistically, it is quite obvious that these pieces of information are not necessary. I personally feel better being able to contact my AM through their personal email address, knowing that they probably check that account more often anyways.

It is impossible to please everyone. When given the choice between being able to contact the OWNERS and managers of the company through Skype directly, and being able to call a generic outsource company, I can say without a doubt I feel much more comfortable with the Skype chat.

Funny you say that as I got a call just the other day as my cell phone is tied to SA.

I answered it and talked to the fellow that called, solved his problem and we said good bye.
 
Folks, I fail to see why you take it so bad.

I was just trying to give a reason why people might be suspicious :)

And I was just pointing out that you can call me.

I happen to be one of the owners of the network and take calls on my personal cell phone and thus sharing why they should not be suspicious as to being able to contact me telephonically.
 
Just applied out of curiosity. Been in IM for 4 years now and I love building strong relationships with trusted people in the industry. Looks like I'm in the right place.
