How to make money with a succesfull site?

Hi, I'm a new guy here and I found this site by a friend of mine who joined this site about less than a year ago. In that time he makes about 1k a month. (I'm not joking, I'm even surprised!)

When he started with that, I started to make "money" with a blogging site which was a faillure so I stopped blogging on it. Now I got a different sort of site that attracts a lot of people, it's an automotive related website. I won't tell you more than that

So I'm using adsense now, but I don't think this is a good source for income now and in the future! I made some $, but not enough considering my pageviews/day!

Is there a better type of (white hat) advertising besides adsense for an automotive related website?

You should promote CPA offers relevant to your niche (automotive). Zip/E-mail submits for Gift cards to stores that sell products every car owner wants, etc.

what do you mean email submits for gift cards? like using gift cards as incentives to subscribe to the mailing list?

I am also looking for good and more then 2$ per lead automotive offers.
Can somebody recommend Zip/Email Submit offers and name CPA companies, except insurance offers, and "free gas for year" which pays 2.4$ per registration ??
