Hm.. no you don't neccessarily need to delete the 14,700 keywords. You can just filter and show only the 300 keywords, and use "Select All -> Expand" to expand only the 300 keywords. If the keywords are already expanded it won't expand them, and if the longtails don't match your filters, they will not show.

I think I understand what you mean now. Well how about you select the ones you want and save it in a .txt file using Ctrl+C or Copy To Clipboard option.
You can then use the Import from .txt option to import them back under a New Project.

Or you could also open two instances of UNF and Copy and Paste between the two.

I'll discuss with programmer to see if we can come up with a good alternative for this.

I think that would be a great addition to the software, it would fit perfectly in the workflow

after it finished to get competition data for all keywords, you simply scroll down the list and mark the ones you find interesting on first view.

when you reach the bottom you hide the ones that are not marked, then you can either extend them again for more relevant keywords, or go on with your research for competition / emd for the visible kw's in your list and do not have to bother with tens of thousands results you don't need...

I think it might be your internet connection's speed, is it too slow? or are the proxies too slow? The software might have timed out and marked the proxies as not working. Could you ask your provider for a new set of proxies if that's the case?

You could also use software programs such as Proxy Multiply or Proxy Goblin to scrape, test and filter public proxies daily.

Internet is pretty fast, the proxies are working ( 100-200ms ), tested them with all other software ( scrapebox for example )

Regarding Proxy Goblin they die too fast and I have to use 1000+ lists for just a few searches/analyses

1. I just can't wrap my brain around if it says there are 12 million results - how this is marked as GREEN meaning EASY. Is this very accurate?

2. Then also when I look up same keyword in Google Adwords it says its High Competition. Why is that? I know google sucks to do research but why is it saying something different?

3. I've search under All Countries and just US and get same results. So if I'm in the US should I change it to US or leave it as All Countries?

High Competition - That has nothing to do with actual competition ( backlinks, top10 and all that stuff ).
It's good if you are planing on using adsense for that keyword

And google is actually a pretty good "tool" for researching keywords

I know this is a BST thread but I think this is useful information, specially to n00bs like me. Here it goes.

In the quest to find the best proxy solution for my UNF needs, I have done a few tests and found some interesting things.


Public proxies

Public proxies are fine to use IF you don't take keyword research seriously. You're going to loose a lot of time scraping and sorting only to find out they are already not working.
They are slow or plain simple unavailable most of the time. I found out that public proxies make you hit "Analyze Competition" button 10x more than private proxies, just to get the data for those last few missing keywords it didn't scraped the previous attempts.


Shared proxies

Be very carefull where you buy shared proxies. Most shared proxies are full of scrapebox/xrumer spam s*it and are already flagged at stop forum spam. If this is the case, they probably are not "g00gle enabled" anymore and are, therefore, useless.


Private proxies

The only real way to go. Make sure you don't have bandwidth limitations (read why below). More important, unless you are going to analyse keywords 24/7, 10 or 20 private proxies are more than enough.
Important thing is to give it a rest once in a while (10 or 15m daydreaming and eyeballing those fantastic keywords you just found) so you don't burn them or your ad w0rds accounts (read more below).


Bandwidth

I found out that for every 1000 keywords you analyse, your bandwidth consumption is going to be around 80 to 100MB. That's 0.8 to 1GB every 10000 keywords. Take note of this before you get trigger happy and buy the first proxies with bandwidth limitations you find.


ad w0rds accounts

Use dummy, disposable accounts. Get a few of them and do NOT use your real account. It will get banned sooner or later. I rotate 4 accounts. I use one account, do all the scraping stuff and disconnect it. I connect the next account and start over with a new batch of keywords. Next round of keywords, the same thing. I'm still trying to burn one account and can't.


That's what I have to share right now. I already own this software for a month or so and I'm loving it more and more. It's so freaking easy to analyse keywords that I find myself taking notes all the time on yet-another-possible-keyword-seed.

That's the only serious problem UNF has that can't be solved with coding skills: it's freaking addictive!!

Also having problems with proxies being read as not working even though tested through many other softwares and they work just bought 20 fresh frm squid proxy never before used and coming up as not working except for 2

I tried Dedicated Proxies and those even burnt out. BUT I've mastered it now LOL! I'm using my daily list that I have saved up in my emails from HMA plus if need be my Proxy Goblin list. This thing eats proxies like they're candy LOL! But I love it!!!

EDIT: My proxy list randomly became green 30 mins later now that I check now only 2 are red out of the 20, so maybe you have to wait it out? lol

Im not sure the problem is its using the proxies rather than its misreading some of them as failed and not even touching them, I ran the proxies through 5 different proxy test programs and they all came out ass working except in UNF they come at as not working except for two, so the program is gang raping these two private proxies I have lol

Hi, eventhough they work for accessing normal sites, UNF requires that they're Google-enabled (can access Google.com) and also our data provider enabled (can access our other SEO data provider). Please use our built-in proxy tester function to verify that they work with our data sources.

However, if they appear to be working during Testing but go bad during actual analyzing, it might have something to do with querying too fast. We're working on this as we speak and will alow for users to determine what delay values they want to use depending on the proxies connection speed.

Hi again jharr53301,

1) Yes, it's very accurate, the number of results on Google actually means nothing, your real competition is the Top 3 guys on the first page on Google for your search terms.

2) The competition in Adwords is for Adwords/PPC, not SEO. High Adwords competition means advertisers are fighting to advertise for that KW which means there's money to be had from that niche.

3) The location is for your target location. (i.e. local search volume). If you set it to All countries, Global and Local will display the same values. If you set it to US, Global will display global volume while Local will display the number of searches made in US only.

Hehe, sounds good. We're adding a delay option soon so those proxies will last longer. Stay tune in the next 24-48 hours.

Sorry about the confusion, I'll edit my previous post.

The Difficulty column is the SEO Competition.

OCI stands for Online Commercial Intent, high value = buying keyword, low value = info keyword.
