Do you think there are stop words in domains?

Now and then I come across a keyword with lots of potential "by the numbers" but the term includes something like "website" or "online."

It just seems natural that if someone searched "knitting website" that google would ignore any SEO for the word website, since it is redundant to why searches are made.

True or not? And any other examples?

Or maybe there is gold in them silly searchers?

If you do a search of your "knitting website" you will notice that only the words knit and knitting are highlighted in the different domain names. That is on G. Haven't tried this with Bing or Yahoo.

Seems to me that you may be on to something as no where in the search does website show up.

I see something different with G. for "knitting website"

oh... but if you search "knittingwebsite" without the space, it does show up highlighted in the domain. And "knitting website" without the quotes you see knitting highlighted in domain and even combinations like knittingsite are highlighted in domain.

So maybe there are some good keywords around for this idea. Thanks for the G search idea. Didn't occur to me to check highlighted terms.
