Can anyone experienced in Adwords tell me what Is the most effective way to use this service? I have tried a few times now and have had very minimal results and I am afraid I am using Adwords Incorrectly. Thank you In advance for any advice and or feedback.

1. Use very focused keywords of what your product or service is. The wrong keywords will simply not produce profitable results.

1B. Know and understand the different keyword match types: broad, broad modifier, phrase, exact and negatives.

2. Create compelling ads that makes the reader want to learn more and click your ad. The higher the click rate, the higher your ad's quality and the lower you pay at that position.

2B. Test, test, test. It's unlikely your first ad will be your best ever.

3. Become familiar with the Adwords rules and guidelines. Become familiar with the Bing rules and guidelines and those of other PPC services you'll be using. They're all pretty much the same so follow Google's rules and you should not have any problems elsewhere.

4. Not Adwords but part of the whole sales funnel: make your landing page compelling so that people will buy from you.

4B. Test, test, test different copies. It's unlikely your first page copy will be your best seller ever. Most people don't know how to sell so I recommend hiring a copywriter who does.

AdWords is Google's pay-per-click (PPC) advertising platform. When you use Google AdWords, Google decides which ads are displayed and in what position based on each user's maximum bid and quality score.

Great Info everybody. Adwords can be VERY Intimidating. Do you believe I should start off with a set amount a day as to not lose my butt in the first month?

You are virtually guaranteed to lose money when you start Adwords.

The only question is how much and how fast.

Before you do anything, read as much as you possibly can.

I highly recommend ppchero and searchengineland.

Also, there is an AWESOME download on BHW. Search for "Brade Geddes" and you will find it.

If you read Geddes' e-book before you start, I guarantee you will save yourself a lot of money.

Is there a way to find out what keywords my competitors are using with Adwords?

My best advice is dont feed the beast with your money. Google is a greedy rude company I'm sick of it.

First with any new account - USE A $100 COUPON (if you have one :)) Depending on your keywords cpc this could be a great for testing to see what works/or the best chance of working and what doesnt work.

PPC is a mix of keywords, bids, targeted and compelling ad copy. You can have all this but if your landing page/website suck then your campaigns will fail regardless of how awesome your campaigns are set up. Yes Google makes it easy to spend a lot of money on ppc, but you can spend smart!

Use the keyword planner tool to identify keywords relative to your product or service. Then make an extensive list of negative keywords (words you don't want your ads to show up for). Negative keywords are there so you don't wastefully spend on clicks that aren't targeted.

Don't put all your keywords in one ad group. Break them out by themes so your ad copy will be as relevant as possible. For long tail keywords you can use broad match modified and more competitive keywords use exact match. You can also build out a huge exact match kw list and have each kw be its own ad group. (great for ad copy testing)

Create another campaign with broad match modified keywords with your extensive list of negative keywords. When you get enough data run a search query report and put any converting keywords from this campaign into your exact match campaign and continue doing this. Always test ad copy to see what converts best for you.

If your site is not mobile optimized don't spend money on it by putting the bid multiplier to (-100%)

***Also by default with new campaign creation google will select all networks (this includes google.com and search partners as well as the display network) If you notice a huge number of impressions and no results chances are you could be opted into the display network. Go into campaign settings and turn it off if you don't want to be on it. If you do want to run on the display network then make a separate campaign and target only display.***

does anyone know people who can create multiple Gogole adwords accounts for the same URL using coupons?

Don't buy adwords course and spend your money, try spend your money practicing adwords. And keep this rules:

1. Make your site like a site not one page, just like site or blog, if you don't do this you will be banned (bridge-page)
2. Don't use fake testimonials.
3. If you use testimonial, please make sure you use * sign in the end *result are different etc.
4. Please make sure you read all the adwords rules before make any ads (important!)
5. Practice copywriting, many people advertise on google have bad copywriting!

Thanks for all the great info guys. i think the ebook is the best resource and then testing and preparing your web pages

first question is if you want to do search or display. they are two different beasts.

search is by far easier. just pick a niche, an offer. and LOOK at what others are doing. i.e. if you are promoting a Forex Trading offer, type in "Forex Trading" and see all ads currently advertised. Mix and match their copy. create your own. reverse engineer what others are doing. are they sending to a landing page? test like crazy. adwords is one of the most effective and long term plays, but like anything, takes time.

Make sure you follow all the guidelines because once you get suspended then things get hard
