I think this has been shared before, but I didn't know it until today so I guess big chance is that a lot of you don't know this one either;

Go to

Code:
www.academia.edu

And sign up as an independent researcher.
Confirm your email address, edit your profile and add your websites.

Nice thing is you'll get your keywords as anchor text for the links in your sidebar on your profile, however these are n0follow. The links on your status update and on the /Websites page are d0follow.

Works best if you take this serious and fill out a profile with interests and add some status updates.

Should I link it somehow or do you think it will get indexed without that?

Hopefully they don't get slammed with a shit load of junk blogs and shut off sign ups. Either way. I'm in. Thanks!

Shows as no-follow for me on status updates or profile links :) In either case, still a backlink!

When you add the links, you will get a status update message on your profile page which says: {username} added websites
with the urls.

These urls are d0follow links.
Also, the links are placed on the 'websites' page.

Code:
http://independent.academia.edu/[username]/Websites

these are also d0follow

all are no-follow, anyway. thanks

Go to hxxp://independent.academia.edu/[username]

then you will see [username] added a website
hxxp://www.g00glesucks.com < that will be a d0follow
