SMS provider recommendations?

Anyone can recommend any good and reliable US based SMS provider to use if we want to start doing SMS marketing services for local businesses?

Any particular one that is working good for you right now? Please give your feedback.

I use BulkSMS since it has international reach. Since you are targeting the US only Twillio might be better for you though. They have a neat API that can do automated phone calls too for things like PIN submissions/whatever. Many WSOs lately based around SMS marketing use them.

Yo OpenVBX makes it too easy with Twilio... I don't have to even touch the API.

Yea that seems pretty cool alright. From the docs on their site it looks like a breeze to use. I'll have to wait for them to roll out international SMS delivery before switching over though.

What are the charges for using BulkSMS for international reach? Is it cheap?

They are not as cheap as Twillio but it depends on which country and phone network the sms is going to, roughly ?0.03 - ?0.05. They have their prices and country breakdown on the site:
