I would like to know building how many backlinks a day is considered Good ( For a Brand new site )

site which is like 30 days old

competitor site has around 64k backlinks

Step 3. 250 Monthly: Depending on the kind of site your working on you might have to make backlinks manually or they might be spread through social media promotion. If you use social media promotion heavily, odds are you will establish backlinks through sharing. If you target blog comments, forum posts, directories, etc., then you will need to build them manually a bit longer.

Not necessarily. It really depends on your website, your competition, your keyword, your source of backlinks and more. I have blasted thousands of websites to brand new domains and have seen good results. What you are talking about though is black hat seo, just making sure you are aware of that since you put this in the white hat section.

CubanCohibas said it the best though, as long as it appears natural, do as many as you want. People misunderstand Googes algorithm to think that their is a certain limit on links which should be built, but it really isn't like that. From my experience blasting hundreds of websites with thousands of cheap backlinks, it doesn't work like that. I think you are more likely to get reported by a competitor or an angry webmaster for spamming, and then get a manual review and manually penalized from blasting thousands of links though.

I don't think I ever got how 10-20 steady links a day looks "natural". For natural you might go 3-4 days without links until you post some new content and then BAM, 100-200 links for that content.

Plus, with social everything nowadays you could have 10,000+ links in 1 day very easily if your content goes viral.

That is how I picture it too. I used to blast 10,000 links, then wait a week, blast 1,000 more, wait 2 weeks, blast 5,000 more. Never had any penalty. Exactly as you said, unless you are posting new content every day, Google wouldn't expect your site to get the same/similar amount of links every day. I think too many people get reported to Google for a manual review because they made someone mad, and they blame it on building too many links and triggering something automated with Google.

The quantity of links should be the least of your concerns. What you should really worry about is the diversity of the links (high and low quality, different types) and maintaining a natural rate of backlinking.

How would someone figure out what is a natural rate of backlinking? For most of my websites, natural would be nothing, because nobody would ever naturally link to them. I always hear "natural rate" but nobody can seem to put it into numbers or words properly. Consistent isn't natural, just like mark27 said.

I suggest you go slowly. If your site is MFM site (money fast making), then maintain regular pace. Dont forget relevant quality backlinks. Try link pyramid perfectly!!
