I've been reading quite a bit on bulk backlink building packages etc, and from what I've read google can and will penalize you if they see your site getting too many backlinks too rapidly.

so my question is, IF i were to purchase an app like NoHandsSeo and use that to build backlinks to my site(s), would I be penalized by google or is this app fairly safe to use?

(I know I have the option to backlink to a web 2.0 property which then links to my site(s))

Thanks!!

well apparently it goes like this, they penalize your site, but not the competitor, how they know who is doing what is anyones guess.

NHSEO is actually pretty good with creating backlinks slowly and over time. It's manual software like Scrapebox and others that you should worry about, especially if you are new, and make sure you don't blast a million links at a time.

nohandseo ...... just makes on the beginning a lot of whois and that is no danger. than ist quite slow ... but just blog comments.

When they say it's slow. It's slooooooowwwww, like slower than continental drift. I have some pretty broad keywords and barely get any links at all. For instance I let it run all night and I got 1-2 links on my sites. Some ppl may come on here and flame me and say I haven't tried this setting or that setting. I have, and got terrible results either way. On the plus side, it's set it and forget it pretty much. So if your looking for a couple links a day ( the first day which you'll probably get a few hundred) than go for it.

hmm... so what would be a 'better' option than NHSEO???

buy some fiverr gigs instead .... will help for sure more

Well, if you are planing on buying a software then I suggest you start with Scrapebox, It's easy to use and offers far more options than NHS.
If you are ready to invest a little more, then Senuke X does magic stuff :)

I like NHSEO and GSA for SLOOW gradual targeted links to smaller pages. Never got penalized for it as it goes at a turtles pace!

So you post "Negative side effects of NoHandsSeo" as link bait where everyone comes into the thread wondering what horrible thing happened to your site after using NoHandsSeo ... and you're just guessing, you don't even own NoHandsSeo.

Way to cause negative reputation and subliminally screwing a company's brand for no good reason.

yep , second that. Title of this post should be change

I am still a noob at this so can anyone tell me if these whois links that NHSEO creates get seen by G. The software seems to ping them but nothing shows in the GWM tools. If they should show how long does it normally take?

I think there are settings to limit the number of baclinks.. use with care.. read the manual hehe

If you use NHSEO with captcha sniper you can get better results. But it is good if you use proxys the link building can actually look quite natural as when each link is posted it is scattered instead of 1000 links within two minutes it could take a week to make a 1000 links but completley scatter. So in my opinion it is quite safe especially if you can get some on topic comments.

Yes - Google send around a bloke called "Anthony Harris-Thompson"
He actually comes to your house with a writ. BUT....

He doesn't issue the writ, instead he asks if you have a dog.
FOR GODS SAKE SAY "NO I DON'T HAVE A DOG"
Because if he finds out you have one, he shoots it in the face with a sawn off 12 bore shotgun and eats it in front of you. It's fecking horrific.

Or ALTERNATIVELY....

Use the search fuction. This "Is too many links too quick bad for you"? question is asked and answered 20 times a day on this forum alone.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm piss bored of answering the same bloody questions.

In short NO. (well not much) if you want the long answer, use the search function.

And for those that say they get poor results with NHSEO - I can only say A BAD WORKMAN BLAMES HIS TOOLS.

I get 3000 confirmed links a day with it running in the background. For a one off fee on $77 (i thinkit was with BHW discount) that's a bloody bargain. If people can't configure the tool (put too few search keywords in - or crap ones, use shitty proxies, don't use captcha sniper, only run it for short periods..etc etc) then that's their problem.

Here's an image I posted a few weeks back onf one days NHSEO results, It was a little below average.
THe first link is to a picture, the second to the post I first put it on. Check the dates on the post and the picture then look at the version number of NHSEO in the picture (1.6.20.0). It came out that day - 2300 links in about a day.

I now often do better than that and have topped 3600 once or twice.
If your results are considerably worse than this...then THAT'S YOU, NOT THE SOFTWARE.
