I can understand the retaliation against SOLAR and such but them kids are absolutely retarded in every way possible.
Hackers that compromise servers is one thing but when you go as low to defacing the website then that means your are just trying to attract attention and make yourself look cool that you can compromise something. Big Deal.. It isn't that hard. I was 14 when I first had the FBI knocking on my door. Its not that hard.
They are just wanting attention and even on their badly coded website, they even explain they were just doing it to spread the word about their group. I mean, if they had a cool name then it wouldn't be that bad but their group name is retarded itself.

So Anonymous can DDoS several sites nobody is visiting anyway and hold it down for a day or two. Who cares? What is the difference?

I do not think they are trying to accomplish anything by directly hacking GOV sites.
I think Anon just want to bring attention and more eyes on the cause.
When a government site is hacked, people take a notice.
People start asking why?
And then the real issue is brought to light.
