400 Bad Request or Just an Empty Page

Im using a proxy now coz Blackhatworld doesnt work for me if I just use my own IP.

It just displays 400 Bad Request and the word nginx at the bottom.

Sometimes its just an empty page.

Is my ip banned??

these are situations where you have sent an invalid http request, it could be your av/firewall messing with the http request in a way that makes it break the RFC's, it could be malware on your system (if you want to test for this, i suggest kaspersky internet security, you can get a 30day trial from their website, combined with malwarebyes antimalware) or it could be a braindead transparent proxy that is messing with your http request

basically, no, your not blocked by any firewall, your sending a bad http request for some reason and its getting dropped before it goes any further

edit: oh, also for sake of my curiosity, please try firefox, internet explorer AND opera and see if they all give the same result

im using kaspersky internet security 2009 and using firefox 3

i think the culprit here is the proxy that i use is google

^google web accelerator is not available on firefox3 so i have to manually make google as my proxy

ahhhh, that would be very likely then, i use a box with kis 2k9 and ff3 without issues here locally (transparent squid proxy) so kis is fine, it seems as if google is the issue here then

you can always add blackhatworld.com to your list of proxy bypass urls in your proxy settings and it should go direct for those

Hi All,

I had a similar issue to Zwitterion plus more. Looking at his avatar, part of the Philippines flag, may be a clue. I'm in the Philippines on a PLDT ADSL line through a router

First few days on BHW were great - then I got 502 Bad Gateway for nearly 24 hours. Then a few days of great surfing, and now the 400 Bad Request

I use Firefox but when this happened it was the same on IE. I use Avast Antivirus

Now I have a fix at least...

I installed Glype proxy on a dedicated US server and via this USA IP, I can surf and post this message. When I tab over to a Firefox window that is direct from my Philippines IP, I still get the 400 Bad Request

I suspect the ISP may be the issue...

no, it seems iv found an issue, olden helped me trace it, for now try clearing your cookies on 400 requests and let me know what happens from that

I cleared all BHW cookies in Firefox and it went back to working direct from my IP and not just via proxy

Yep i just got it running Firefox, switched to Opera and it was all fine. Cleared cookies belonging to BHW in Firefox and it's working again.

Opera Mini on my mobile always displays the Bad Gateway, so i will try clearing cookies/cache on that and hopefully it works. The mobile phone has the same IP as my PC, because i'm sharing my PC's internet connection to it over Bluetooth with GnuBox.

Owh it happens too i go to a site that my browser can't continue to browse and i need to change browser

i also dunno the problem
but i think changing browser is okey even can use more than 1 acc in other browser

i got this problem using firefox too, using ie now and it's fine.
