I download music and if I like it I pay for it, same for games and movies. I see downloading just as a way to avoid paying for shit. So, you're kinda wrong there.

I wouldn't say so. I download a lot of stuff, but if I have the feeling something is really worth it's money than I'm going to buy it.
For example I buyed a FlashFXP license. Why? Because it's a good tool, it has a reasonable price and I think the guys who developed it and put all the work into it derserve it to be paid.

Cool. But once again, you are a minority.
I am 100% in favor of this movement. But the overall response in this thread of, "Yes, I'm in because I don't do any of that stuff anyway" just proves my point.
For this to work we need people who ARE downloading media to say, "You know what, this is a good thing to do. I am going to CHANGE the way I'm living and stop doing that for a month".
And in order for that to happen they either need to target the non-tech savies OR encourage the tech savies to spread the message as much as possible.
Just my 2 cents, not saying I am 100% right.

I'm in! I had enough with SOPA, PIPA and ACTA, they suck and violates human rights! Although I had my own music here, I'm sticking to it. I'm not gonna buy anything new this March, those media companies are gonna prepare for their worst. We made them rich, they made us poor.

With buying CD/vinyls etc, it really depends what record label it is from. For example, buying from smaller local labels wouldn't help the huge labels supporting SOPA/PIPA/ACTA but would help with the boycott. Same goes for film.

I would like to ADD I have never bought any mp3 Music or Movies since 2008 XD I just don't get why should I when them people make plenty of money via concerts, commercials, etc, ;P also I have not have much money ether in a couple a years being a full time student lol SO I am in ;D
