I have read plenty of posts here about building my own backlinks. The amount of information is overwhelming.
I've seen services posted here for $200 per month, software i can download for $77, and individuals that will sell me 100,000 backlinks for $50.

If I'm doing the Marketing for my company, with a small budget, what's the best way to get quality backlinks and better all around seo for my website?

Thanks

For a noob experience. I am referring to my own experience. I used backlinkgenie their cheapest price of plan which is 9.99 per month. I used their service for a month now and I have seen great results for my website. From nowhere to first 5 pages of google for my main keyword which is make money niche.

I just ordered backlinkgenie. Can you comment on how much competition there was for your sites?

High Competition since it is a make money online niche or keyword.

Backlinkgenie is a great tool for me as it helped me rank in google and other search engines.

Goodluck. let us all be successful!

go and submit articles on articles directories with your link :D

Just take it slow and document EVERYTHING. That way you can see what works and what doesn't.

Is it safe to run xrumer and profile blasts to your main site?

Nah, dont do it directly to your main site.

Slowly build backlinks to your site. Web 2.0, Article directories, Wikis, EDU/GOV links, Contextual links, Blogposts, Social links (facebook, twitter, Google+ etc), Bookmarking, Forum posts, Youtube and many more.

Just plan your game ahead, write down all your budgets and list all your expenses. If the ROI is good then continue it.

Don't expect to gain money in a week. Give your site 1-3 months before deciding the site is worth to maintain for or best to stop the campaign.

I know ughhh, I have over 500 sites and I make a lot of money writing articles. Ive never tried to rank a site with backlinks. I hate backlinking!

Backlink Genie is $137 a month for the full service I guess I need that because the trial wont do anything for my sites.

500 sites..........siiiiiiick.

ya outsourcing is the best. I did manual link building and it sux big time

But for the price of the backlinking services it is cheaper to pick an easy to rank domain name instead of paying hundreds for backlinks IMO...

I still want to try a service to see what the big deal is and see if I can rank a good site.

If anyone feels like chatting I am on Skype would love to talk to someone about ranking sites.

The site that I'm most interested in hyping is an 11 year old PR4 site in a competitive market.
I went and signed up for backlinks genie free trial today after reading other posts in other forums. It seems like a good fit because you can schedule out the backlinking.
However, I'm a little more interested in doing something that will produce lasting results. I've heard that using the AMR (Article Marketing Robot) can actually work in a more White Hat fashion. Does anyone have experience with this? Is there a better service / value than AMR?

All of this seems like great advice.
Can this all be done with AMR or is this something I'd have to do Manually?

sicksubmitter for all your needs

used backlink services, than make it into .xml file, put in your directory website, than submit it with rss submitter, I think that's most realible for me

I've used an article submission gig on Fiverr as well as a PR7 backlinks gig and am happy with the results so far, especially the article gig..

Well, Those who got good experience on automated softwares will recommend tools and softwares . Those who got very good experience on manual link builders they prefer that.

Manual link building seems expensive, but it has been done properly based on your requirement. software or tools all run automated , those fake results wont lost long for more days.

so choose the best one :)

Look for

DIVERSITY
PAGERANK Of the links
DO-FOLLOW

That must keep you good.
