I actually signed up here looking for more of a bulk email forum though. Anyway, maybe you guys can help me out. First of all, if you know of a good bulk/mass emailer forum like Bulk Barn from back in the day used to be, I'd greatly appreciate it if you could send me a link.
Secondly, I figured I'd go ahead and paste below the email I sent to Inter7 yesterday. They make a supposedly fantastic mass email program. If you have the time and/or interest to understand my needs and think you or anyone you know could or would want to benefit ($) by being my tutor so to speak, please read what I wrote to them, as that pretty much sums up everything you'd need to know about the position I'm in and what we'd like to accomplish. I look forward to your response.

My partners have given me the responsibility (and access to all necessary resources/funds) for buying and learning how to mail in-house for data leads. They have been buying email generated free quote mortgage and debt leads for over 10 years and have a large daily appetite for them. They (we) want the ability to mail for our own leads. They actually paid a guy a very large sum of money recently to show us all of the details but he has dragged his feet for too long and it now looks like I will be the one to learn all of this w/out the help and guidance of this joker. All we know at this point is he uses your Robo Mail product.
My experience with mailing is rather dated, but I do understand generally how it works. ...or I guess how it used to work. I learned mailing (knowing NOTHING) way back in 1997 using ISP's and a mail program called Pegasus to send.
. I then used the Stealth mailer and then later was mailing with a product that used proxies. The latest (last few years) style of mailing I unfortunately am not very familiar with at all ...so please go easy on my ignorance of terms used, etc.
So, the bottom line is this. I have the ability to learn all aspects of using your Robo Mail program, but I am going to need to be in touch with either someone at your company or someone you may recommend who can coach me through EVERY necessary aspect to get us from 0 to 10. ...including:
-including all of the other parts of setting up and consistently maintaining the ability to keep mailing.
-including any/all recommended "other companies" I will need to have relationships with to help facilitate the sending process (ie: back in my day this was the ISP's).
-including gathering/buying and maintaining email addresses (a recommended forum of other mailers could help here).
So you know, we will most likely be purchasing the Robo Mail Extreme for one machine. I do not know if we need Tunneling. ?? I don't know if we need Qmail? I do know that I will be needing initial technical support and guidance.
When you call me or email me.. please give me your opinion of everything I will need to buy from Inter7 as well as all other pieces of this puzzle I will need to locate (any and all recommendations would be GREATLY appreciated). To give you some info to help determine what we'll need to get this going, I can tell you we'd like to be able to initially generate around 200-500 simple data leads for a free quote daily. ...(no credit card or social security # needed)
I also would like to be connected with any forums you'd recommend to find connections and guidance from other Robo Mail users.
In the meantime, I would like to educate myself on all the terms and definitions used these days so I can communicate effectively with other users and future contacts. Any ideas where I can read up and find this info? I did try to download the pdf files on your site about Robo Mail but each led to a page that no longer existed.
