Whatever method works for one niche may very well fail miserably for a dozen others. So the only way to really give a "step-by-step guide" would be to basically hand you everything - methods, niches, sales copy...everything.

And if any of us were to do that, we may as well just hand our earnings over to every person that happened to read the post. Sorry bud, I'm not willing to hand over my mortgage payment to you. Nothing personal, of course.

Plus, it would do you little good to be "taught" something very specific, anyway. It's in the learning how to market that you actually "learn" how to market effectively. Trial and error. Take the snippets of good info, apply them to your campaigns, keep what works and discard the rest.

Rinse, repeat.

2. have plan A,B,C and E
3. DO IT
4. if all plan fails move on
5. if one or two methods in the plan works move on to a new plan leaving the previous job to the outsourced staff.

I am agree that PPC should the fastest cash machine BUT without hand on experienced could be burning your wallet, i am not one of experienced with PPC, i hope this thread will continue for sharing great success.

If you jump in PPC not knowing what you're doing you're going to most likely lose bad. People who know what they're doing spend hundreds (sometimes thousands) just trying out a niche to see if it's worth it. It's kind of like the stock market, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer with PPC.

Must agree on that one - I know a guy who is doing PPC - he says he test 10 niches each week and 9 out of 10 are just not profitable enough - mymy I wonder what his adwords bill looks like at the end of the month

The first thing you need to do is think like a marketer. So, what if it's junk...if you're good at what you do, then make that junk the greatest, shiniest junk on the Internet. Let them know that junk can cure cancer (figuratively speaking of course). It's new and improved junk. It's junk x2 and they are a total loser without that junk.

Just blanket pushing something will get you a net result of zero. Take some time to research what people are looking for and give it to them. There are a lot of people wanting to get rich on the Internet (um, including here at BHW) so sell them the tools to do that...even though 95% will just move on to the next thing as the product collects dust. It doesn't matter, you've already made your cut off selling them the product.

If all you want to do is some small time hustling, go for it, but it's not going to be nearly as lucrative as putting in the money, the hours and the know how. Gain experience by failing. Learn and move on. Collect what information you can and find a way to multiply it.

If you can't do that, then there is no money to made on the internet for you...

Great advice! Unfortunately most like look over this and move right along. Stop, think, understand THAN visualise doing step 1 and being step 2.

Be careful reading old threads because methods and rules of Google and PPC change almost daily. What worked when this thread was started 11-12-2008 will get you banned today. With that being said, there is some good info in here, but just pay attention to the dates of the posts.
