My hosting company is 1and1, And I am only allowed to create 25 databases in my current plan. Is there a way around that? How would I be able to make multiple Wordpress sites since WP requires a database to work?

You can use one database per as many sites you want 1 database for 2 sites are fine

Use wordpress multi feature then install domain mapping addon on it..now you can build as much site as you wish with a single database. Hope this help you.

Not sure, but you could change the table prefix in wp-config.php to continue using the same database with your wordpress installations.

Yes you can do it by changing the table prefix at the time of wordpress installation.

Not sure how to do what u guys are saying but hopefully I can figure it out.....with the help of google of course!

Thats exactly what I was going to say.

On the installation screen where you enter the database logins the bottom box has the table prefix.... as long as this is unique for each of your blocks they can all run from the same database.

That explains why you went with 1and1 ;)
Just google for 1and1 reviews and you'll see how much they suck.

I've personally used hostgator for over 4 years and have had 0 problems.
Since you're just starting up, I can help you save $50 by refunding you 100% of the commission that I'll get if you sign up from under my referral link.

2nd that

1and1 is worthless - especially for wordpress sites their customer service sucks too.

I went with 1and1 because they offer free private domains. Does host gator do that?

Cheap chinese phones offer you better features for a lower price than legit companies, would you go with them?
Don't go for cheap, go for better. Otherwise you'll regret that decision later on.

Best solution is to ditch 1nad1 and go for some better provider. Like hostgator

You can use remote database access for your other wp sites if you exceeds to 25.
