I am extremely curios. I've seen (but I'm not sure) that some of my competitors use blog comments which are probably nofollow and somehow get more authority and fight the Panda updates.

Do you think blog comments help our seo efforts? And I'm talking about real blog comments here, just for the links. Any experience?

Blog comments help you optimize your company's website. I strongly encourage you to allow comments on your company blog to increase your search engine optimization.

Its true that when you get comments your rankings increase, Google loves to see activity. Not sure if we can game that by allowing spam comments as well

I also have the feeling that Google seems to care less about nofollow and ******** links. relevancy seems to be more key these days.

One thing I know and thats that spammy scrapebox comments just do nothing to your site, no harm no good.

Blog comments helps get referral traffic, but they can too help get SEO benefits, read to explore.

Good quality, manual blog comments on moderated ******** blogs. (Preferably content together with PR.) This is my personal favorite method of leaving comments. If you are leaving behind great feedback and achieving about 40-60% of these accepted, that is probably a number of large Public relations & ******** back links having a tiny amount of effort. If you leave GOOD comments that actually contribute to the post you should get a decent approval rate. It is very effective if you do blog comments to related blogs.

Yes blog Comments form high pr page is really have a good back link for your site..

They can help your On Page SEO, if managed correctly. At the same time, they can harm it if your readers start leaving random, 'thank you' comments.

Why does it take so hard to answer his simple question? Seems like some people just want to increase their post count by posting nonsense.

Here's your straight answer.

If you are using High PR do follow blog comments, well and good for you.

If you are using scrapebox to blast 100K + AA blogs to your site, then follow these steps to avoid getting slapped.

  1. Don't overdo it. post 5K-10K comments after every 2 days.
  2. Keyword diversity !! You can use around 200-400 keywords if you are blasting more than 100K AA blogs.
  3. Best thing would be to use a Buffer site like a web 2.0 property, Blog post with your backlinks. Better blast those buffer sites instead of blasting your site directly.

Was it too hard?
