Hey guys,
So i bought two domains today which are very close to each other in name but i am not sure what to do with them. I wonder can i just sell the domain name with to google proof (i have proof i just cant post pics yet) or do you suggest i monetize it first then use flippa? I just wanna know the quickest money making route. Appreciate your help fellaz

If they're not actually making money they're not worth a whole lot.

If they are EMDs then you might flip them simply based on their potential but I doubt they are EMDs or that the keywords are actually as good as you say.

well if i could link you i have an image. I have no reason to lie buddy

Quickest way is to sell them, but I'd recommend making sites amd monetizing them.
/edit Hopefully this is exact keyword search... Otherwise the price will be lower.

I'm not saying you're lying but have you looked at all the different factors to determine its potential?

  • Is it easy to rank?
  • What's the CPC?
  • Is it a selling keyword?
  • Where's the traffic from?
  • Is it broad or exact searches you found?
  • Is the traffic constant or seasonal?

See ActionTaker thats exactly the type of response i wanted!! I dont have the answer to all those questions but it was an exact match for sure. How would i find the CPC and whether it is easy to rank or not? It says there is low comp thats why i thought it may be easy to rank for... THanks for ur time bro. Repped

For the CPC - google keyword tool. You enter the keyword and it shows you the CPC.
For the competition - traffic travis/market samurai.

or simple type in google: inurl:"keyword" intitle:"keyword"
this will give you the number of websites that have your keyword(s) in their url and in the pagetitle. this is a good indication of how many people are optimizing for that keyphrase.

Furthermore, you could use KeywordBlaze (free tool) to check other ranking factors like the number of links..

This is the worst crap I've read for a long time. It says nothing about top 10 which are the only ones you're really competing against.

for seasonal/non-seasonal, google trends and insights. also, exact/broadd, which is it?

Well than you're an idiot. All he said was "this is a good indication of how many people are optimizing for that keyphrase". Which is the truth.

this...
and I suggested KeywordBlaze to judge difficulty on other factors.. which is actually looking at the top 10 competition.

well the keyword i have is for a product specifically and i got exact matches with the adwords keyword tool. I have a pic but i cant post it yet :( thanks for all ur help fellaz

If there are 10 optimised pages compared to a million that aren't optimised it'll still be harder to beat the 10

Am I typing in Chinese?
All he said was it's a good indication to see how many people are optimized for it. That's it. Period.

But why pass on information if it is not helpful? You would not choose a KW based on that number.

Me thinks this is a broad search and the "low competition" is from adwords tool

Although if it is true, if you can't find the CPC in adwords tool I have my doubt of you getting it ranked for a 264k exact search term. I would recommend selling the domains.

So you're telling me if you do a search and see 1,500,000 competing websites for one term, and 4,500 for another term, that's not helpful to you at all? You're not going to think "Hmmm, seems a lot of people don't really know about this keyword, it will probably be easier to rank than the one where 1.5M people are trying to rank for it."

I already knew how to use those operators and i can tell you from first hand experience that it is a great place for a noob to start. So thanks for that man. On the other hand Its not nearly sufficient enough to base a claim of real monetary value on. So IMO you guys are both right :) thanks to both of you for your time

damn you really can't read or won't...

Like jon is pointing out, it's a good start to see how big the competition is.
To see how tough that competition is I suggested to use KeywordBlaze as a tool, since that analyses backlinks, domain age, mozrank etc.

ohw btw.. intitle and inurl are 2 metrics used in Market Samurai's keyword research.... A tool like that using it says enough I think....

one more thing: focussing on the top 10 might be very misleading, especially if there is a lot of competition since this competition might be relatively new and didn't make it to the top 10 yet... but once there can be way tougher to beat than current top 10. So yeah.. size of competition really does matter a lot..
