my goal sending 100 packets at once for a test

We are all waiting for your latest update of your project. Lets' hear it from you at the earliest.

If this letter converts as well as some of the guys have said it is I would be worried about being able to handle 30 new clients all at the same time. The SEO part you can delay new clients with for a bit, like start getting paid but only start working on it in a week, but just the sheer amount of meetings you're going to be getting might be overwhelming and cause them to see you as a scam artist. Make sure you're ready to be able to handle all the new clients before sending all of them at once. I would send out a portion once a week which would give you a full week to handle all the new clients and not have to postpone any meetings. I'm sure once they read the letter they will want to see you asap, making them wait a few days will cause the whole excitement that the letter generates to wear off

Another thing, try group all the closely related businesses into each batch your sending out. That way if one "dentist" decides to sign up you don't need to see any other dentists, unless of course you deem it ok to help more than one client for the same keyword. I feel if you're really trying to setup a long term business that helping out more than one client for the same keyword could make clients angry if they found out about it. There are so many niches for this that it really makes sense to keep it simple and only work for one client per keyword set. Would also be cool to tell the dentist that you actually have another dentist booked for a meeting on the day they want to see you so that they feel you are high in demand

The OP updated in progress with another thread. I think it was in the lounge section.

I do suggest to stagger the mailings, but I would be amazed if anyone got 30 clients out of 100 mailings. The OP did get an amazing response with is mailings.

Having a lot of meetings wouldn't necessarily make you seem like a scam artist. It would make you seem like an in-demand specialist. If you don't have the "appearance" of being busy (even if you're not), prospects might think how good can you be if it is easy to see you. And added benefit is that you'll be able to charge higher fees because you are in-demand.

By the end of next week is my goal to send out 100 packets to local businesses,,

This is a test from the google maps placement letter wso

I have 20 packets made right now..

I hope to quit my day job after this blast :)

So, how was your success rate with this? You have had to have done it by now.

^^ I like to know this as well. Have you had any success as of late? keep us posted.

I have been looking into doing this method also and would be interested in seeing an update with the results.

I put a visitor message on the OPs profile. i'd like to see if he followed through or had any results. So now, we wait.

The WSO seems like a pretty good idea ... I went to complete them and found out my printer is a POS.. worth a shot though... the concept is great to get the fact across that Traditional Print Ads are falling Way behind Google SEO ROI...

All those asking for results and updates - check Tamra's post here:

Anyone know where you find the actual address you can mail the packets to? All the businesses I've checked so far don't list their postal address?

Where are you looking for the addresses at? Out of their website, Google Places, Yahoo Local, TripAdvisor, CitySearch, Yellowpages, a google search, WHOIS query, etc. there has to be one bound to be listing the address. Finding the address is the easy part :D.

i second this

sorry for the late update! i got stoned and forgot haha well i have sent a total of 85 packets with about 8% conversion, i have been doing some testing with the web design packet that i have designed, id say they are about even on conversion. for the amount of profit i make average 1k per client which i think i might be a bit too low but im happy with where im at right now. i will be doing this on a smaller but steady scale throughout the rest of the year along with my other campaigns

oh by the way for finding their address,, that is part of research you do, i like to use sites like manta. if i cant find their address and business owners name rather quickly then i go to the next company.

the hardest part is the research, and its quite boring and time consuming to be honest but its work and as long as i get paid its fine with me
