Aged Domains

If you purcahase an aged domain, say two years old at auction, is it then safe to build links via scrapebox more rapidly than trying to build up a brand new domain? I have read alot about the perils of building links to fast on new domains which lead me to investigate aged domains.

Probably no technical proof, but yeah it should be safe.

Aged domains definitely help, but they are not bulletproof. Just keep your link diversity steady and you don't have to worry about getting banged.

I've been working on ranking new domains. The aged domains are on auction on Go Daddy. I have only used Go Daddy but I'm sure there are others. Found them in the scrapebox addon. You can search for them my keyword. I can see a lot of ideas for sites this way also.

I have read that you can build links in higher quantities to the older domains. Does this hold true. If you build a high number of links do you still get the google dance effect? I am building links and have had a few new sites go from 9th on the first page to 97th! I think it was a directory submission that resulted in 2k links. This was on some testing sites and I don't want to make the same mistake on some more important sites...

You need to steadily create links, getting a sudden burst of unnatural links doesn't make you look viral, but instead makes it look like you are spamming your site.

Yes I did not intend for this, I ran the site thru gsa indexer and I think that is what might have caused all of the links that I ended up with. Is there a way to check and see if someone blasted your domain.. How could you fight that?

Here is an example, I am showing in Google webmaster tools 3,389 links to a site, 1 site that I did not build one link to to my knowledge. ????

Generally speaking the older a website the more aggressive you can be with adding links. If for example there was once a nice website on this domain and it hasn't dropped in registration then it would make sense to be more aggressive on the link building.

The google dance is much less pronounced on an older site, but it still happens if your link velocity changes too much. You can put quite a lot of links to even a new site, as long as they are incredibly diverse, and backed up by social signals. Diversity is everything now, followed by social proof.

I've seen aged domains with only a handful of backlinks. I'd thought it would seem suspicious if links suddenly appeared, just like a new domain.

In the case of an aged domain with a handful of links, I'd set up some buffer sites.

first priory is that take the aged with domain with backlinks so it will be better.

If you got the aged domain make the backlinks with diversity method to make it safe and quality backlinks

If you're asking SB backlinks to the aged domain then yep it is quite safe than a new site BUT still it's vulnerable to penalties, just a little less than a new domain.
