I just received an article and it was pretty good, but when I checked it in copyscape I found that it was an exact match of articles found on other sites. Is it supposed to be spun?

I don't have copyscape premium.
So I tried their free search.
Did a search for one of the article I posted on my blog. I got 10 matching results.
But when I checked each result individually, less then 10% of content was similar. I think thats acceptable. Of course I don't expect a top quality unique article from some automated tool.

Yes I mentioned that already...
But if you click the returning result, you will see that each result is just less than 10% copied.
