Hi there fellas.

I know that different states have different laws, but in general:

Is it legal to send/put in promoting materials like a brochure in their mailbox(companies)?

I've been searching the forum, but didn't find any thread related to my question, sorry if it has been asked before.

Most people here don't care about legality lol. Go ask on a legal advice forum

Haha.
What was i thinking asking about it on a black hat forum :/

If you're in the US and put something in someones mailbox without a stamp or postage then yes it is illegal. Technically, (as I was told by postmaster) once a mailbox is in use it then becomes property of post office and anything in it has to have postage paid. When mailing out stuff .44 seems like a lot and I just went around dumping my promos off in mail boxes and they didn't like it much. I just played stupid like I didn't know anything and they told me not to do it again and I didn't .. not sure if they were just bluffing or what but was very convincing.

Thanks a lot for your response mate. I need to find someone to mail out for me in the US! :)

It is illegal. Only the official postal delivery service is allowed to put items in the mailbox.

I know it's not illegal in England..

The amount of advice flyers/takeaway menus/all the other cack under the sun gets through my mailbox.

I invested in a Staffordshire bull terrier. Now my mail arrives in pieces :D

Good one.

Yeah i just wanted to know. Because i know some countries allow you to send brochures etc to companies, not private individuels however.

In all seriousness though, the better approach would be to go in to their offices/stores and ask to speak to a manager or a lead. Pitch whatever you're selling directly to them.

Not easy when you live 2000km from UK for example and even further from US :)

if you really need some kind of blackhat on mailing :) just write two random addresses ( from two different cities / peoples ) on the envelopes , even if you like play very hard you can use some fonts who looks like they are hand writing :) and drop them randomly on post boxes ! spread them in small pieces :P .

ps . disclaimer ! use this things just for educational proposes ofc !
