I've been looking at trying to use twitter more for my SEO. Came across this case study post: http://blog.practicebuildingcenter.com/review-of-twitterbacklinks-com-did-it-boost-chiropractic-traffic/

Guy has posted some impressive results. I'm thinking of joining the service he used for this. Anyone have any experience with this?

If you think you're getting 64k retweets in 24 hours, think again. But honestly, it's really not that hard to rank for "(Product/service) Review".

Google and twitter just had a row

Google has personalised results so breaking news will be taken from google+ and not twitter so twitter saw arse over this and said it was disapointing.

google then claimed twitters no follow links are hard to crawl

if they are hard to crawl like google claim then how is this case study true.

As others mentioned, seems far fetched....

Regardless, it isn't that hard to rank for product/service review keywords
with a little bit of SEO.

My recommendation is to stick to traditional SEO if anything at all. Or
stick to video optimization, since Google's really taking a liking to it even
more recently...

Like all others said, seems like this is not possible only via Twitter. I mean you'd definitely need some 'traditional' backlinking to your page.

And as for retweets, get TweetAttacks, set up a lot of accounts, and set them to tweet @myusername tweets!

I decided to conduct my own little experiment for this. Posted a tweet containing my website URL and I added a #hashtag for my keyword as a bonus. I would say the keyword is medium competition 2 word phrase. I'm currently ranked 65 for it and haven't worked on it for over a month now after it seemed to get stuck.

Got 60 retweets so far from my count in about 10 hours so I expect the full amount for 24 hours to be there. I also did a few random checks of the accounts sending these retweets. I expected them to be pretty botish but was surprised that many have a decent amount of followers and seem to be pretty old.

I'll be checking keyword position in intervals of 24 hours as well so I'll post back soon.

I'm pretty impressed so far. Only 2 days in and my main keywords are all moving in the right direction. I agree with some of the other posts about the importance of backlinking but I think if you combine it with social media you will get the best results possible. I plan to try this strat with a few of my sites now.

At 24 hours I checked my keyword rank and was at #46 which I think is damn awesome since it's been stuck for so long. So I have already moved up 19 spots.

I'll check again at the 48 hour mark.

Nice glad you are doing this case study.... I created a "local search" site just last weekend and it already is #15 for its search term. Yesterday I ordered a tweet/retweet gig from fiverr to see if it helps out. This is very encouraging. The order has not been completed but If it helps it will be due to this thread and then of course I am going to order some more retweet packages to test on sites I have not played with recently.

It looks like this guy's test page fell back to page 3 of the SERPS. Still, it's not bad for only using Twitter links.

I just re-checked that. I was wrong. He's still ranking #4 for the keyword "review of socialadr."

That's insane!!

Awesome share.

One thing I used to do was use MTurk. It's basically a service by Amazon where you can list small jobs, that people will do for you. I just put in 500 "tweets" of my one message for $12.50 (2 cents each + fees). You can also do this with Facebook posts, and Google+ posts.

I haven't really used the service in over a year, but Social Media seems to be a lot more important these days.

Looks very interesting, I'm in. Just ordered the 20$ package to site I did not do almost any offsite seo, it is simple one page web EMD in health niche, about 6 months old and it is not ranking at all now. I'll inform you if I get any results from this.
