well guys...
sometimes it can take even more then 4 hours, you can simply get stuck with some problem and can loose a day solving it.
However, usualy it doesnt take that long. But it takes more then 30 minutes like some of you said...that is if you wana check if all works fine and stuff. I like keeping my clients happy, so i take my time to check all when creating templates for them.

yup, this!
totally depends on what kind of templates you build... if its an easy template sure you can make one for a web 2.0 site in 30 minutes.
but the template will suck, and you will have to fix it quite often
i have two templates were each took me 2 weeks to build, with daily 5+ hours work on it.
