All Sites On Same Webmaster Account?

So, I have about 4 sites, all targeting the same niche. All of the sites are registered in Google Webmaster under the same account (different sites, but same webmaster account). My question is, is this harmful to me? Does google not count these as individual sites because they're all registered on the same webmaster account... so google thinks they're kind of "the same?"

In other words, is it like having all your sites on one IP?

Anyone know?

You can set up as many pages aus you want and afaik you can't get a penality for others sites you own if you get a punch for another one.

If I were you I wouldn`t add all those websites neither to webmasters account... neither to the analytics. Use piwik. Some might called that being paranoid but I like to keep my sites safe, you can`t trust them.

I'm on board with this, but I think 4 is fine.
I'd say put a max of 5 on one account, this also ensures that if you're banned on one of them, all of your sites don't get affected, just the ones that were sharing it.

It's a risk. I would avoid it if possible. Google already has so much of your data, I wouldn't risk them being able to link all of the sites I own together.

There is no harm in getting your sites registered under one account. I have been doing this for years and we are good.

There's no problem with linking all your sites to one account as long as you don't interlink. Some people don't, and some do. It's entirely up to you, but in my opinion what you do with one website won't affect another website even if they are on the same account. Google doesn't penalize people, it penalizes domains.

Just don't link them together and I think it is fine. Using google analytics can also mean a positive thing, because, if you have a quality site, a good bounce rate and so on Google can help you, if you have not a quality site, do not use analytics.

- put them on different hosting accounts
- don't use the same Analytics account
- don't use the same AdSense account
- don't use the same registration info
- don't log into them from the same IP if you're tracking them with different Google accounts
- etc.

Basically, unless you are a *****, Google is going to know they are all yours.

4 is fine. It's not like Google has the time to do a manual review of your webmaster account, especially if you use adsense (in which case it'd be pointless not to put them all on the same account).

Wouldnt worry about it, if your doing whitehat and running them as separate businesses, i have clients with 10 sites in the same niche all under the same google accounts and competiton with each other, have done for years without an issue

But if your running something like our private network(in sig) then definitely not, as others have said never interlink money sites and don't link sites built for Seo value only

Even if you don't add them to the same account,They will already have the details if its in same hosting or related.Put them in separate ip address each and you'll be safe.
