Rumors about backlinks and competition

In the last time,i saw a lot of threads here and on other forums,where people were making threads like
"if I blast my competition with LQ links will they get penalized ? "

And then I see 2-3 replies like "Yes it might work but bla bla bla"
Then some more replies like "No don't do that,you'll make your competition more powerfull then you" and so on.

For everyone saying that "this will work" or " this won't work" you are just eating shit on a BH forum.You don't know how google works,especially after the new update,and even without the update you still won't know.

Now let me explain from my point of view.

If you want to throw your competition to the bottom of google searches you must take some factors in consideration and even if you know them all,there's no guarantee that you'll see any positive/negative reports.

So,IMO you should first check how many backlinks they have.If they have less then 1k,there's a GO,just blast them with 500.000k shitty links and they're out of game.(don't forget to index them too,else they might get indexed over a lot of time,and you just give them more power)

After this,you should check the domain age.If your competitor haves a new domain,there's another go for you to blast them and throw them out.

Now let me explain why this won't work.Google algorithms are well known for they're complexity.Google may record the activity of backlinking,and if they see a major blast,they might just ignore the links,considering it's an attack from competition.

The point is,we will never be sure on how google works,but we can always try our techniques and see if they work.

What I wrote above,it's just what I think.I'm not suggesting anyone to attack the competition because it's lame and I would never do that,but sometime you just need to play dirty to win!

so, that being said, you must take some sort of action to move your site into position #1 while simultaneously moving your competition's site out of position #1. if you have the choice of either:

Now,from my point of view.If you are on second spot for your search term,your competition it's a fully whitehat site,and you're doing blackhat techniques to get the no.1 spot,it's the same thing as you'll be hitting your competition with major links blasts.
Why?
I'll give the school example again.
If your teacher would put you and a classmate to write an article,and you want to win no matter what(blackhat techniques),there's 2 options.
Eather you'll steal his article add something to it and give it first to the teacher you'll win ofcourse.This is simmilar to blackhat linkbuilding methods(like spying competition backlinks and so on)

Option 2,is to write a decent article yourself(not better then your competitor/classmate).Then somehow steal his article,edit it and let it look like a shit,without your classmate even knowing about it,and in the end he will give the article edited by you to the teacher,and get a smaller mark then yours.
This is simmilar with attacking competition with massive backlinks blasts (with adult keywords as anchor text or w/e) and so on.

With this,I want people to realize that eather way they do it,in blackhat world(not the forum) there's no ethic,and no matter how u do it,it's still cheating and unethical

Indeed.
In real world,when you manage to defeat a competitor,even if he's a classmate and you're trying to get higher marks then his,you'll feel the smell and taste of victory,because you just showed yourself how powerfull are you.

In Internet Marketing,you're not trying to defeat the competitor,to have a spiritual/moral satisfaction,you're trying to defeat him because you want to win more money,and the only thing that stops people doing this it's the ethic,from my point of view.

As i wrote on the first post,there's no guarantee if it works or not.There are many factors to be taken in consideration,and I wrote only 2.I bet there are more then 100(google is not stupid)

It's like a game of luck,eather you get rid of it forever,eather you make them more powerfull.
Also,there is someone who's already doing it,check the blackhat Seo category

So which is it? If this technique is only effective for sites that are newer, and have little backlinks, then those are exactly the type of KWs that are easy as hell to rank for by blasting your OWN site. Sites that have a ton of backlinks and are on aged domains won't get punished due to age and sheer number of backlinks. So in both scenarios, its best to work on your own site.

Btw, I don't believe in google punishing anyone for backlinks via the algorithm..but I believe they can "ignore" links if flags are raised. The problem with alot of people these days is they overestimate the abilities of google.

Good advice.For white hat techniques you should do some hit ad trail strategies and wait for googles reaction.Black hat works faster.But if our site detects in using unethical technique,site may got banned.What you say?

This is an interesting topic, I see a great number of posts saying there is no such thing as negative backlinks and that it is not possible to get a site penalised with spammy backlinks. I have a site that is only 4 months old and have been building backlinks, some are spammy forum profiles and blog posts and others are better quality articles & directories. The site was ranking exceptionaly well for a number of keywords and showing on page 1 of Google, the site had been through the usual routine I see for a new site (site appears quite high for keywords for a few weeks then drops of, then comes back again and settles in to its natural position).

This was all up until this week, on Wednesday the site dropped out of Google completely for all the keywords it had previously ranked well for, it now dosent appear in the first 20 pages!

Google spidered the site on the same day this changed happened so I am guessing that it has been penalised in some way, I think that G has decided that the links are spammy. I'm hoping its just a blip but somehow I dont think so.

So my conclusion is, bad backlinks can harm a site.
